Cube Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Hi, im trying to set up a dual monitor system (Laptop screen and projector) I would like to: - Be able to load WMP (not winamp cos it goes to black at the end when repeating videos) on the Laptop screen, and send it to the second in Full-Screen mode - Have a full-screen browser opened on the laptop screen - Be able to move the mouse, and having it so it does not efect the projector screen (and cannot be moved onto it just by going over the edge of the screen) Any ideas on how i can do this? Oh, and i know how to get the desktop to extend to the projector. Thanks in advance
BGS Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 First step is to download and have a fiddle with ultramon. http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ I'd ask again if you have questions after fiddling with that. Windows on its own barely supports multiple monitors.
Cube Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 Thanks for the link. That software seems to be what i'm looking for.
Bogbas Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I don't know about ati's chips in laptops. But if your laptop has one, check the drivers settings if there's 'theater mode' - option. It basically puts any video loaded on the primary screen to fullscreen mode on the secondary monitor. And you can pretty much do what you want with the primary screen. Just keep the video running on the background.
