Posted May 22, 2006 Appologies if this is old... Source CUBED3: clicky THE NEWS: The E3 Wii games were actually running on a bunch of WIi demo kits tucked inside of a Gamecube. Why the hell were the E3 games so graphically crappy? According to the Nsider message boards, the Wii's you saw were nothing but empty boxes with a light. People spotted multiple wires leading behind the consoles, into what appeared to be a black Nintendo Gamecube! This has actually been confermed by nintendo, stating that ""The Wii hardware we exhibited at E3 2006 was made specifically for the E3 show and is not the final mass-production version. Some of this hardware was cased in Nintendo GameCube housing," So, there you have it. The graphics will improve. Those were not Wii guts. Those were not Wii graphics.
