The picture is MUCH better if you have a good eye. F-Zero is like sex in 480p. But don't forget, you need the component cables. I've heard that PAL games don't output in 480p though. You could get a modchip that forces 480p, just don't use it for piracy ^^

I have a decent TV, F-Zero, and a RGB cable, so I can confirm you can run @ 60 Hz, but that's different from progressive scan, and F-zero does not support progressive scan.

Actually, outside of the EU F-Zero does.

TV's here, by default don't support progressive scan and all our games are at some crazy assed res. I think its 540i (or something).

Like I said, PAL games don't support 480p, NTSC games do. BUT if you get a mod chip you can force PAL games that suport progressive scan to run in 480p. F-Zero is one of them. Or get a freeloader and buy NTSC games.

The difference betwwen the 480 and 520 or wtvr is normal it happens everywhere, it's just some buffer scanlines or something.

Is there any other way to force progressive scan besides to install a modchip? My friend has one new LCD TV with HDReady and we couldn't see any progressive scan. But if we had Revolution, then how on earth we will enjoy the games at maximum from day 1?????? How we will play games and enjoy the next-gen graphics, here in Europe?

this is one of the funniest things ive heard in a long time...

anyway, as for next gen graphics, on your standard tv you will be able to experience 'the revolution' with snazzy graphics.

on your hd ready tv, the xbox360 and the ps3 will look better though.

have a look in previous threads, because the guys in this forum have nutted this out BIGTIME

Could it be that most people compare HD to 480i instead of progressive? Revolution games could actually look great on HDTV's.

Aren't DVD's 480i/p too or do they support higher resolution?
