british lad Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 One of the things I loved about the call of duty series is the large scale battles in single player where big groups of allied and enemy NPC's fighting each other was fantastic. I also loved the fantastic scripted sequences and the feeling of chaos in the battles. It's makes the experience fantastic. Are there any other first person shooters (On the PC and not just WW2 ones) that have: large scale battles Lots of scripted sequences chaotic experience
Cheapshot Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 There isn't really a first person shooter out there to top Call of Duty 2 for general chaos, Quake 4 makes a good fist at it methinks. If you 'do' strategy, get Rome Total War; thousands of units on-screen kicking the shit out of each other, give it a shot. BTW, this thread should be in the PC boards.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 You know Half Life 2 has some chaotic scenes. Though there is lot of unchaotic other stuff to, more than there is chaotic stuff.
Guest Jordan Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Many RTS have crazy battles. Your best bet is C&C Generals: Zero Hour or the up and coming Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth II. As for FPS, online ones are quite good. Usually Battlefield 2, Call of Duty, CS: Source and UT Classic/2004.
Fresh Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 If you want a large scale FPS join planetside, 300v300v300 in pretty large.........
