Ashley Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 No disrespect, Wallace and Grommit is great, but there is too much priority put on the crap films and the small fry films don't get shown long enough (1 or 2 showings at the most) Cinemas are a business, so if Aardvark buy many screens and Studio Ghilbi don't then they'll show W&G because they make the money from the sales, and make money from simply showing it in the first place.
Nintendork Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Well my business is going elsewhere, I know if they showed Howl's Moving castle at a vaguely sociable time once or twice it would be full both times.. but they show Wallace and Grommit 50 times a day, sometimes with only 10 people in the showing. What is that? a joke.. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Ashley Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I doubt Howl's would be full. It had no press, no general public interest and as much as I hate to admit it a lot of 15+ year olds see animated films as childish, regardless of its content.
Nintendork Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 We have a comic book shop in our town that is almost as big as the local JJB sports There's a lot of love in Essex for the comics and shit.
