A third-party has potentially decided to buck the trend of being cheap, and are not putting their game on a Game-Key Card? 

From CDPR's official press release for the Switch 2 release of Cyberpunk:

Good stuff if that means what I think it means. If not, well, it's not good stuff. Duh.

Genuinely shocking.  Then again, they were one of the very few 3rd party publishers who actually bothered to put out a game on a 32GB card on Switch 1 that required no downloads to play; so it makes sense that their follow-up follows suit.

Given how bad their reputation (and this game's reputation) are though? They need all the good PR they can get.

I still suspect that this will be the rare exception though, and that almost all 3rd party games will be released on a Game Key Card, because 3rd party publishers are tight fisted bastards and they hate you.

I had considered buying another console (Xbox or Playstation) to play this game. But I guess I can wait to buy the Switch 2.
