I used to carry a wrench with me to work (for my bike) and found it gave a nice threatening aura of I left it on my desk in an open plan office so if that's the vibe you're going for I'd recommend that. 

But a non-tech thing; sticky notes. Sometimes you just need to jot something down and it's satisfying scrunching it up after.
