I bought WoD to try it out and it was cool for a couple of weeks but that was it. Doubt i'll ever go back to WoW.

Well its been a long time since the announcement.

Certainly a lot more excitement now.

Lots of updates prior to the expansion launch too. Massive pruning of abilities to Demon Hunters being available early(if you redeem/buy the game early).Legion invasions are also underway giving LOADS of EXP.

Very excited right now. :D Leveling up my alts with the invasions. IF the world quests and stuff are like this its going to be a ton of fun.

I love how the Demon Hunter Story begins during the events of Burning Crusade with the fight against Illidan (you need to be 70 to create a Demon Hunter). Things go wrong and your character is essentially frozen and imprisoned until the current events at 100.

Tons of hype comics, videos and storylines underway:

I've been playing it, I got to 110 yesterday. The new way to quest was pretty good with the zone scaling to your character meaning there was no set path to do it.

I did have a pretty long break from it prior to launch, but a new expansion always gets me back in.

The changes have been interesting and it's definitely the smoothest expansion launch so far.

Playing a ton. Really good so far. Loving it.

They have done an amazing job. So much fun content.

Massive props to Blizzard for updating the Mac version to Metal which has given the Mac game its best performance yet. Its very playable on the intel Iris. :D Runs better than the bootcamp version lol. My pc is messed up as of late so i do miss the highest settings.

Also it broke records:

Today, Blizzard announced that players have forged a truly formidable defensive front—as of the expansion’s first full day of launch on August 30, more than 3.3 million copies of Legion had sold through, matching the all-time record achieved by previous expansions and making it one of the fastest-selling PC games ever. In addition, World of Warcraft’s launch-week player concurrency climbed to its highest point since the 2010 launch of the Cataclysm expansion, as champions from around the world united to strike a mighty first blow against the fel invaders. But the battle has only just begun.

“It’s been a thrill to see players hunting demons, powering up Artifacts, and freely exploring all the new zones in Legion,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We worked hard to make this the best World of Warcraft expansion yet, and we look forward to providing players with even more content as Legion’s epic story unfolds in the months ahead.”

While players are currently entrenched against the first wave of demonic invaders, Legion’s next exciting chapter is already in the works. Last weekend at PAX West, Blizzard unveiled new details on the expansion’s upcoming first major content update, Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan, featuring a reimagined version of one of World of Warcraft's most popular raids. Players will explore a sprawling five-player Mythic dungeon, facing familiar foes from Karazhan’s past—and encountering plenty of surprises and twists along the way. The update also features a new set of quests unfolding over multiple weeks in the fallen night elf city of Suramar, as well as a brand-new raid: the Trial of Valor, which sends players deep into the vrykul underworld of Helheim.

So yeah the game still has not started dying as per loads of loud mouthed internet warriors...

Getting quite far in. Loads of fun. They really did a great job with the Demon Hunters, other RPG need to take note about how to handle action.
