Falcon_BlizZACK Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Anyone remember this?? I can remember picking this as surprise game and it turned out to be the nifty puzzle game... IIRC, the aim was to create foundations so water wont escape the platform. Good old days!
dazzybee Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah, amazing game. Wasn't it like populous in that you could raise and lower the ground to create pools? I'd get this again if it came on the VC
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah! I think you could!...man, I feel like just ebaying an N64 and just go Nintendo retro from now. Might get some inspiration from somewhere.
david.dakota Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I recall really wanting this, but never got round to buying it. Who owns Ocean software now?
Rummy Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) I remember this. I wanted this. I got this. I believe ONM had given it a good review that made me want it. At first...I was dissappointed I guess? I only got a few games a year, and I just wasn't all that great in the long run. I'd lose etc. But with time, I grew better, possibly read some tips, I had amazing runs...and I hungered. It's not something you'll be playing forever necessarily, but with a highscore system(for me, that didn't matter, only I played) it can really put the life into it. I do recall trying to beat the inbuilt ones, and subsequently my own - but eventually I couldn't touch that beautiful run where I maxed out smartbombs and did like 5 recons or something ridiculous, or come anywhere even near close. Annoyingly my mem cards lost data - that made it difficult to go back and keep that passion. I've longed for it though. I couldn't go back to play it fully like I wanted as none of my N64 memory cards seemed to work, so it wouldn't save owt - however I did pick up Aqua Aqua for PS2 at some point last year for a few quid with intention to dig out a PS2 I never used(long story) - never got round to it though. I'd tried to emulate a few times, but couldn't get an N64 emulators to work. This could be an excellent budget remake downloadable with online highscores, poss speed replays, who knows. Give me this on my Wii U for under a tenner - I'm yours. Edited March 22, 2014 by Rummy
flameboy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I recall really wanting this, but never got round to buying it. Who owns Ocean software now? I guess technically they are part of what is now Atari? They got bought by Infogrames who merged/got bought out by Atari right? I did enjoy Wetrix never owned it but remember renting it.
