Falcon_BlizZACK Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I'm somewhat different now as I've found that there are experiences on the PS3 which give me that feeling that Nintendo games used to (Journey is a great example) so the droughts now have just expanded my interest in other systems. Yeah, I like the idea of a PS3/4, from sexy racers like Gran Turismo to the numerous adventure style games and entertainment value the console offers. And I might just get one. I know the gamer is still inside, but events such as Nintendo droughts have severely diluted it to almost being lethargic towards gaming in general. The combination of droughts and questionable quality in titles puts Nintendo in a bad place - Nintendo's spell on me left after experiencing Skyward Sword, the only Zelda title I couldn't be bothered to complete.

I agree with this post literally word for word
Rummy Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Technically yes. Like many here I have a backlog of games but cannot be bothered to start them up, in December I started playing Crono Trigger for the first time after buying it from Rummy(?) ages ago. Then I stopped playing it so I could play A Link Between Worlds, and haven't touched it since. If I ever owned a proper copy of Chrono Trigger I doubt I'll ever have sold it :p I'm in the same camp though - my time seems taken up with other things. Work, friends(do a lot of tabletopping when we can), general socialising - in that mostly when I'm I actually spend it on tinternets, here and facebook and stuff! I don't find an urge to go sitdown with my gaming consoles as much, but I'm hoping I'll change that up soon enough. W101 is still sealed, as is Injustice, and I've much of Pikmin to finish off. Got a few sealed Wii games, too.
Ville Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Well, they have made me go away from this forum as well. Same fights and arguments being repeated ad nauseam, it just feels like a waste of everyone's time really. Most of the really interesting Wii U games are still to be released, so what is there to talk about? Yes, there are some kool 3rd party games too, but the problem is that for the same money or even less I could buy a 360 version with MORE features, DLC etc. The situation with the Wii U is what it is and not changing, so might as well just accept it and move on... As for gaming elsewhere, the last fall I mostly bought used 360 games, some old PC ones and a ton of Steam sale games. Cheap prices, good value, no contest. I also bought quite a few 3DS virtual console games last summer, as the selection is quite good. With the Wii U, not so much, so no sales. Tl;dr: steam is kicking everyone's ass.
