MoogleViper Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 (edited) OK tech heads, your input is required. I currently have some Logitech X-230s, which, for the small price I paid for them (about £25 years ago), are absolutely brilliant. However, I'm thinking of a possible upgrade. It's not certain, and I'll most likely decide to stick with them, but I want to explore the possibility of wireless speakers. I'm thinking of a nice surround sound system, but (don't know if these exist), one that can have the number of speakers reduced, so you can use 5 speakers when you want a nice movie experience, but switch to 2 otherwise. As for a subwoofer, I quite like them, but they can be a bit of a hassle. I can turn my current one down, but it's still a bit too much (especially when you're worried about angry housemates below you). Do you know of a system that can have the subwoofer turned off? Also, I don't want it to cost the earth. I'm happy with my current speakers, so I'm not going to spend a fortune for an upgrade. As a starting point I'll link these: Sanstrom SBS2112 £50 Thoughts? So yeah, give me your advice. I don't want this to be a "here's a link to a product, enjoy" thread, more of a discussion of the possibilities, the pros and cons, your personal experiences. Let me know, people. Edited March 10, 2013 by MoogleViper
bob Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Why would you want to do that? I wouldn't do that. Seriously though, I know nothing about speakers.
