Anderson Mulls Monster Hunter Movie Capcom reportedly wants the Resident Evil director for film version. Resident Evil film series helmer Paul W.S. Anderson is reportedly hoping to turn another Capcom video game franchise, Monster Hunter, into a movie. Punch Drunk Critics got the lowdown by translating a Japanese interview Anderson did while promoting his latest video game movie, Resident Evil: Retribution 3D. Capcom has trust in Anderson at this point given the commercial success of the Resident Evil movies, the most successful video game franchise yet. Anderson he's actively planning the film adaptation now. While there are no details on his take for bringing the fantasy-action-horror game to cinematic life, it's probably a safe bet that his wife and Resident Evil leading lady Milla Jovovich will likely be involved with it. If this had an amazing budget behind it and was the Jurassic Park of video game movies with beautiful CGI creatures then wow it could be incredible!! However, it's more likely this would have a Resident Evil esque budget behind it in which case... well you've seen the Licker in RE1! :p Edited September 14, 2012 by Retro_Link
Mokong Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Anderson.... Audio Ok in fairness the RE movies have become a bit of a guilty pleasure, I likely will end up going to see the new one. But this guy is NOT the man to direct a Monster Hunter movie. It needs a proper budget too to be able to do something awesome with the visuals and monsters. With this guy at the helm I doubt it will
