Agent Gibbs Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Can't find a similar thread on here so thought i'd start a new thread to answer my networking n00b questions So i bought a powerline network set and they work awesome and i currently have one plug in my room allowing my skyhd box to have anytime+, but i was wondering how i'd go about splitting it with a hub so i could connect my ps3 and 360 as well? I have a belkin router i had before to connect to my old ISP for internet just sat in a box, now can i use that as a splitter for it or do i need to buy a separate hub of some type? The powerline network i have is a TP-Link TL-PA211KIT 200Mbps Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter - Twin Pack this is the old belkin router i have and wonder if it could be a hub if i need a new ethernet hub can anyone recommend something?
Charlie Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 It says that it can be used as a switch. If you log into the admin panel (Google the name of it + admin) you'll be able to find the setting for it. I have a similar network adaptor to you and I put the output from it into a switch which then goes to my desk phone, Xbox and iMac. Works a treat.
