Daft Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Anyone else see this? Saw this the other day and I thought it was hysterical, apart from the end which was just a bit strange/jarring. The whole thing could have done with being about 20 minutes shorter, too. The whole Edward James Olmos bit was brilliant.
ReZourceman Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 (He looks like Zack/Zach Gallifinakis) But yes. I would like to see this movie. Casey Affleck = awesome.
Tellyn Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I thought Phoenix quit acting to take up... um... rapping? EDIT: Oh. Throughout the filming period, Phoenix remained in character for public appearances, giving many the impression that he was genuinely pursuing a new career.
gmac Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 so if that is true since almost everyone bought into it, does it make Joaquin Phoenix the best actor ever? or is it just bullshit to cover up him going mental?
Daft Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 I think it was just him constructing a new identity. I don't know if I would call it acting, I don't think it was done for anyone - he lived this life and the cameras were there.
