Grebe Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Im looking into backing up my computer and i wasnt sure whether dvd media allows you to hold normal files such as mp3, avi, word documents etc, or whether it just lets you write actual dvd's to them. If someone could help me that would be great.
craig Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 You can back up files to dvd media. I think you can get just under 5GB on single layer dvd and 8.5GB on dual layer.
Grebe Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 What are the dvd-R and the DVD+R about?
Lammie Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Once upon a time certain brands of DVD Recorders would only record to either DVD+R or DVD-R. Nowdays you'd be hard pressed to find one that doesnt do both. I think that's right...
Jon Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I dont think there is a differnece between them tbh, just different formats.
