darksnowman Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Could the popular Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series be making a comeback? Now though, it seems there may have been some concrete developments regarding the latter franchise. Online UK retailer GAME have recently posted a listing on their website for one 'Rogue Squadron' for Wii. The page gives very little information; only giving a release time-frame for April 2010, and stating the publisher as Activision Blizzard, who have had some dabbling in publishing past Star Wars titles in Europe. Of course, that's assuming this listing is a confirmation of a real game. Retailer listings tend to be pretty reliable, and the bigger the retailer, the more plausible it often is. Having said that, nothing as been officially confirmed at this stage from any party. Source I'm not sure how true these things usually pan out but my guess is hit and miss, at best. Game would hardly just pluck this out of thin air and stick it in there listings for no reason, would they?
STOOPIDDITTIES Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Well this is either going to be a port of the last two games with the New Play Control! stuck on the cover or a new game made by another company simply using the name to catch people's attention... and money. Help us Factor 5, you're our only hope.
david.dakota Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Lucasarts have found some Wii love recently - admittedly not alot - enough perhaps for a port of the Cube versions.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 A new Rogue Squadron game would be great...as long as the game is based on the "good" trilogy, and not the "shit" one. It probably is just a port of Rebel Strike or Rogue Leader, though.
