Video "screen capture" equivalent?

Is tehre a way to record what's happenin on your computer onto video format?

I once found a program for it, but I forgot the name of that program, but those things are a lot used by ppl who makes video tuts.

I use a great one. It can record video, take images, record sound and do web capture. Loads of features even in the free version. It's called SnagIt 7 and it's made by TechSmith.
