Emasher Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Does anyone know where I might be able to buy the DOS version of the original Fallout. It has to be the DOS version rather than the windows version, as I'd be running it from a DOS emulator in OS X, which is apparently possible, I just can't find any websites that sell it. Both Interplay's website, as well as steam only have the windows version.
flameboy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Try good old games http://www.gog.com I'm not sure what version it is specifically though.... Bah sounds like thats windows version to; http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout compatible with: Windows XP & Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit)
Nolan Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) According to Wikipedia: Platform(s) MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Mac OS X There is an OS X version. You could try and find that. You could also use Boot Camp I think...er idk for sure, but look into it. Nevermind trying to find the Mac version...$70 on Amazon :S Fallout 2 is slightly better priced, but not much, used it is though. Edited November 9, 2009 by Nolan
Emasher Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 I can't order from Amazon.com in Canada, and Amazon.ca doesn't seem to have any listed. I would just use Bootcamp, but I'm on an older Power PC mac. Although, my dad will be replacing his 3 year old MacBook Pro soon, and passing it on to me, so I'll probably just wait and install windows on that through Boot Camp. Thanks anyway.

Nolan Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Argh, I can't remember the name of it right now, but I know a Colombian who uses a site that acts as his US address so he can order from all the US online stores and then they ship to him, for him it's cheaper I don't know for you though. A bit irrelevant atm unless you want to drop alot of cash on the game, which it's a great game, but...
