Congratulations man. I know I've spoke to you on msn, but I had to add to this thread as driving kicks arse.

Enjoy your new found freedom!

On my small island, you get your 'Learners' when you turn 16 - you have that for three months - then you've got your full license.

So long as you understand the rules of the road, and you've got a bit of common sense, you can drive an auto. 'Learning' how to drive an auto. but not a stick shift is like learning how to ride a bike with training wheels.

Kind of.

In any case, congratulations on passing the test man - well done.

How are automatics a curse? I still need to learn stick shift.

Because it makes you think driving is easy, when it really isn't, learning a manual takes more skill and you have to learn to co-ordinate and concentrate more.

If you pass your test in an automatic in the UK, you get a crippled licence only allowing you to drive an automatic, so nobody does it, most people drive manuals.

I've only ever driven manuals.

CONGRATULATIONS MAN!

I need to ask ya how many marks do you need to get to pass the hazard perception?

I cant remember exactly, for theory you need like at least 30 out of 35 and for perception it is something like 40 out of 75 - it is marked by reaction times. Like a possible danger may come into view, if you see it fast and click quick you get like 10/10.

All this reminds me i now need to sell my theory/perception cd-rom things. I will have a quick look on them to give you a definite answer.
