Had a quick dig around for a thread for this couldn't find one so here it is! Another great looking game coming to PS3...

G4 just got a new video of it, looks gorgeous;

Write up from 1up.com;

What's the game about? It's Sly Cooper developer Sucker Punch's first PlayStation 3 game and their first non all ages platformer. You take control of a superhero in a third-person open-world action game, and use electricity as your primary attack -- sometimes as a gun-replacement ranged attack, and sometimes in special abilities such as a storm where you rain lightning down around yourself. As 1UP editor Shawn Elliott described it earlier today, it's Crackdown starring Raiden from Mortal Kombat.

What's new for E3 At last year's E3, Sony announced the game via a short trailer, and at this year's show they were back with a new trailer and a behind closed doors gameplay presentation. In that year, the developers have remodeled the main character, giving him less of an urban look, and brought the game's engine up to speed.

The gameplay demonstration started with main character Cole riding atop a moving train in Empire City, showing his movement in how he can climb buildings and telephone polls (and hide behind them or around ledges for cover, like in Airtight's Dark Void), giving a few examples of how you can use electricity to flip cars and cause havoc, and displaying how you become weak in blackouts because you need to "feed" off electricity from objects like telephone polls.

During the presentation, Sucker Punch developers hinted at changes to your character and the world as you make progress in the game -- specifically noting that your powers will likely evolve differently depending on how violent you act when playing and how the civilians around you act in response to your actions. That noted, the developers tell us they are aiming for a Teen rating, so despite the dark visuals and obvious violence that comes with a game of this sort, don't expect anything too excessive.

What's our take? The lightning attacks look incredibly fun to use, and when you combine those with the smooth animation and vertical movement, there's a ton of potential for a great drop-in-and-explode-the-world game. We don't know a lot about the story, missions, and -- crucially -- what kinds of variety you'll have with your attacks and upgrades, but it's a good sign that we're excited about everything we've seen thus far, even if that isn't very much.

Yeah it seems to have some original touches..I just hope there are a ton of clever ways of using the powers rather than just the odd one. As otherwise it does little more than replace guns as a way to kill enemies.

I was going to make this thread a while a go but seeing as the Resistance 2 thread got little attention I didn't think there was much point. But yeah, this looks cool, the way you can make circuits between cars and other metal stuff is neat.
