MoogleViper
Not too long ago there was a lot of hype over the Microsoft Origami thingy. It looked quite good but I've not heard anything of it since. What happened to it?

MoogleViper
Ultra mobile PC? That's such a shit name. They must have been copying Nintendo for names. I think it's a good idea but they are really expensive at the moment. Has anybody got one/used one?
Guest Jordan
Someone has one at work here. They're pretty crazy... Really quick too.
Sanchez
OQO is the best UMPC imo, you can get one of the really old ones for £320 http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=163965 New ones start at £850 http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=156352
MoogleViper
Can they be used for gaming?
Jasper
Honestly, Origami is one of those projects at Microsoft that never really got the market it wanted, mainly because Microsoft simply sucks at marketing at consumers and wants only business to buy in. Origami was a better name than UMPC, wich is a category that hasn't got lots of talk lately. Don't buy these things just yet, wait for smartphones to evolve in the coming two years (and, how much you hate yo hear it: Apple sparked this innovation to make smartphones actually smart) and there will not even be the need for something like this anymore. Don't let Microsoft make or design your hardware. Let the software company stay software, not? It's what they do, well... best?
