Pancake Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I only ask because my iriver has been acting erratically lately, and i've had problems syncing music onto it - so i decided to wipe all the music off and start over again. I deleted all the music folders manually, apart from ONE folder that i kept getting an error message on when i tried to delete it. I think this has been a dodgy MP3 i've downloaded off emule, and the **** responsible has written some kind of coding into the file to bring up and error message when it's getting deleted. So i'm stuck with this folder, and my iriver is acting up (telling me my player is filled when there's nothing on it for example) coincidence? Doubt it. Now i'm scared to even transfer anything i've downloaded off emule onto my new MP3 player (that i haven't bought yet) in case it trashes it and renders it useless like my iriver. Update: here's the suss files, at over 1gb each - wtf are they??!
Konfucius Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 In theory viruses are possible but I doubt someone would bother to create one. I guess it's more of Windows thing. Did you try to format your player instead of deleting everything?
Pancake Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 Nope, because i can't do that without probs either. Time for a new mp3 player...
mario_jr Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 some MP3 players should have a little pin hole that easily formats, or resets the drive.
