Dilli Gee Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Well done to Nintendo for the sales, but I doubt it'll change anything in regards to mature gaming. Out of those millions, most will be children and non-core gamers, who generally wouldn't be interested in games like Resident Evil 5 or Halo 3 or whatever. Capcom can't afford to advertise their games like MGS, so they need to rely on the audience's wants/needs.
DCK Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Maybe in percents the Wii has less 'hardcore' audience, but in terms of numbers that user base is going to exceed the 360 audience some time (and probably has exceeded the PS3 in that respect already). Zelda sold 3.61 million units, RE4 Wii is on the brink of selling one million, that does say something.

The 1 million Resident Evil 4 owners arn't going to be interested in Resident Evil 5 or another mature game? Riiiiight... Not least to mention there are other 'mature' games which have sold pretty well. I don't even get your last comment. I mean, Capcom are as large of a company as Konami, and I'm pretty sure Konami arn't going to makes games the audience doesn't want or need :/.
Speedfreak Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Most PS2 owners were casual gamers, that's why it's so popular. Guess that means PS2 wasn't a good market for hardcore games durrrrrrrrr.

That's a port of a 'hardcore' game from last generation and it's still sold a million copies. If anything that's a clear indication that RE5 should be on Wii. Also, CAPCOM don;t make MGS, and if they did I'm sure they could afford to advertise it, as we saw plenty of Dead Rising and Lost Planet ads. Most PS2 owners were casual gamers, that's why it's so popular. Guess that means PS2 wasn't a good market for hardcore games durrrrrrrrr. Exactly.
Petey Piranah Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 So Grand Theft Auto is not classed under "Hardcore"?
