Blackfox Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Yeah, I know its probably illegal - but then again I'd argue that buying the proper cartridges to find one of them not working is too. So I'm only doing to make my genuine cartridges work.. Anyway, is there a hack or a patch that can bypass the chip reader that reads the cartridges? canon technical support is bullshit and other than buying new cartirdges I see this as the only solution?
Rummy Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I dunno if this is what you're after, but I know you can buy cartridge refilling kits, and they usually come with a little thingy that you touch to the chip for a few seconds or so and it resets it to say that the cartridge is entirely full. Of course, it means you won't be able to rely on the ink levels it tells you on the computer, but meh. Of course, if the problem lies with the chip reader and not the chip, this won't work.
