Konfucius Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I remember reading some comments about uxtheme on here and because I'm totally sick of the XP-Theme I thought about modding it. I already did some research on the web but I'm not sure which modtool to use and I heard that service packs or Windows Updates sometimes won't work anymore? Could someone please give me any advice about the tools and whether it works or not? Thanks in advance.
Guest Jordan Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 You can get the only other offical Windows theme from Microsoft, the 'Royale' skin from Windows Media Center. Or here: http://www.softpedia.com/progViewOpinions/9-3-42,.html
Konfucius Posted May 18, 2007 Author Posted May 18, 2007 Wow didn't expect an answer so quick. I wasn't thinking about the Royale theme though but you can modify uxtheme.dll so it accepts any themes.
Mr_Odwin Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Get the neowin installer/automated hacker thing then head over to deviantart and fill your boots with themes. Stick them in windows\resources\themes.

Thanks. But now that I tried to run the patcher there's an error message saying "UXTheme Multipatcher has detected that there's any Window NT setup file in C:\i386" And then it won't continue. Now I'm not sure what actually is in that folder but it looks like some drivers. It installed together with XP and some crappy IBM tools.
