Caris
Does it work? I don't really wanna buy any more ram with DDR3 out soon but i was thinking of getting a gig flash memory stick instead. Will it make a diffrence?

Guest Jordan
Yeah, it works really well. But its only really recommended if you have a low amount of ram.
Shino
I'm really skeptical about it.
McPhee
Why would you be sceptical? Its just a simple case of moving the paging files from the HDD to flash memory, increasing the transfer speed and therefore the overall system performance. There's not really anything to be sceptical about...

There's not really anything to be sceptical about... After reading about it, I'm no longer skeptical about Caris situation. It is only useful when you don't have enough ram to keep commonly used files. This only happens, in Vista's case, with people with 512MB of ram. And even then, its only advantage over hdd storing, is the seek time of flash drives which is considerable lower. So, if you have at least 1GB RAM and a Sata drive, this won't bring you any performance boost.
