McPhee Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Anybody else got this? Best album ive heard in a LONG time and a brilliant return to form for the band Get the album, its class!
BGS Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Is it worth buying for someone who's not a huge fan of the Manics? Do they do much different? The main problem I have with the band is that a lot of their songs have a very identifiable Manics sound that I've got a bit bored with.
McPhee Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 It depends. If you used to like the Manics but got bored then you'll probably like this album, the sound has grown a lot and has more of a pace to it. If you never really liked them in the first place then its hard to say. The album reminds me more of Snow Patrol than anything else
Fierce_LiNk Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Haven't got it yet, but I will do pretty soon. Love the Preachers. Anyway, return to form? The band already did that. LifeBlood was a cracking album, if a little mellow. 1985 has to be one of my favourite Manics tunes of all time. Edit: Looking at it, I don't think they were ever out of form! Haha.
