Conspiracy Entertainment reveals Shoot-out Mech game.

Conspiracy Entertainment, the videogame developer and publisher best known for the likes of Tiny Toons: Defenders of the Universe and Ultimate Block Party has recently confirmed that it has signed a new licensing and development agreement with Hyper-Devbox of Japan to develop its very first title for the Nintendo Wii.

The game, which is presently known only as “Shoot Out” will arrive (Q2 2007) as a futuristic sci-fi action shooter that where brave freedom fighters takes on the nefarious might of terrifying robotic alien machines in a white-knuckle battle for the control of planet Earth. The agreement with Hyper-Devbox means that Conspiracy Entertainment will have publishing and marketing rights for the game throughout North America and Europe.

“This game was a hit within the arcade/coin-up market and is now being retooled for the Wii platform,”

said Carlo Perconti, president of Hyper-Devbox, concerning the deal.

“We are very excited to collaborate with Conspiracy [Entertainment] to increase the intensity and enjoyment of the game, while remaining true to its original and much-loved design and aesthetic. The freedom of Wii’s distinctive handheld wireless controller is ideal for creating a 3D ‘shoot ‘em up’ experience and will allow players a greater feeling of interaction.”

 

And the gushing sentiment wasn’t only restricted to Hyper-Devbox either, with Conspiracy Entertainment also looking forward to partnering up for its debut Wii title, while also claiming that further Wii-specific gaming projects are likely to be unveiled in the very near future.

“The Wii platform is achieving rapid market acceptance. We plan to release ‘Shoot Out’ in the second quarter of 2007, as part of our efforts to capitalize on the fastest growing segments of the $30 billion global video gaming industry,”

commented Keith Tanaka, Conspiracy Entertainment’s chief financial officer.

“This is just the beginning of our intention to enter the Wii market.”

Confirmation of the tentatively titled ‘Shoot Out’ by Conspiracy Entertainment comes hot on the heels of an official statement released by the company on 06 February outlining its movement into the Wii arena.

The mention of the arcade game intrigued me as I hadnt come across that title in the arcade before, however after a bit of digging I think it may be a game that appeared in the arcades, then was released on the PS2 called Ex Zeus:

Could be another port, could be a laugh, I could be totally wrong about what I figure may be the game I have posted above....
