Daft Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I'm not really sure if the admins will approve of this (and if they don't, sorry and feel free to delete this thread! ) Basically if you look at the bottom of my signature there is a referal link. (which says something like 'get your free console') If you click on this link you can then sign up an chose any console you want and they will send it to you when you fill up the referal quota! This actually works because my friend did it. After you sign up you need to take part in an offer. Take part in the LoveFilm offer because 1.)Its free 2.)The trial allow you to rent 6 DVDs for free (after which you can cancel your account:wink: ) So if you want to help me, GREAT! or you just want a great deal on films to rent then please use the referal link at the bottom and help me out!: peace: http://console.myfreegadget.co.uk/index.php?referral=3640 Thanks for you time!!! EDIT: Actually I was just using the LoveFilm site and its really quite good so if films do it for you this place is great anyway!
Nintendork Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I've tried this before. It's fucking hard to get people to actually sign up for the service. Because they in turn are instantly thinking 'how do it get XX people to sign up?' It's very easy to saturate your area/forum, and the only way it really works is if you have a blog with several hundred loyal readers. Weebl (creator of weebl and bob) got tons of shit. Good luck though- but tbh it requires savage effort that just isn't worth it to convince just 1 person to sign up for it.

I'm hoping for facebook to pull through for me!!! I'm not expecting anything to happen but if it works then it will be a nice suprise! I've got 2 ppl so far...if it doesn't look like Ill get 14 referrals then Ill go for 5 for the PS2!:p
Nintendork Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 2 people who have signed up to the referral site? Or 2 people who have actually completed their transaction? Big difference there.
Shorty Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 It's really difficult to get this to work on a forum, basically because you need what... 5 or 6 people to complete an offer for you, right? But each one of those people is not going to get anything out of it unless they also find 5 or 6 people. That means just for you to get a console, you'd need about 36 replies on here. BUT, each of those people would also want people to help them out too.... I got a free ipod using one of these schemes. Really you're better off just finding friends who are willing to help you out and not looking to get the free item themselves. You could even just tell your friends that you found a movie rental scheme and not mention the other part. And to be honest, if this was my jurisdiction, I'd probably close this thread for being a pyramid scheme.

I've asked loads of my friends on facebook and e-mailed a few people so I wasn't depending on the forum alone. Oh well we can let this thread die then!:p Sorry people!
