Phube Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Just a quick question, quite hard to explain. But on some, and I mean very few, websites the text doesn't fit where it should. Take DeviantArt for example, My login name is covered with the box that's supposed to be before it. Yes I've tried changing text size and this doesn't work!! Any suggestions?? Cheers...
Shorty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Also what is your resolution? Some websites are designed for a resolution of at least 1024x768 and smaller sizes get squashed.
Emasher Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 maybe you onece set some setting different on your browser. try reseting the browser. edit: also some websites are designed to only work in the PC version of ie, this is about the stupidist way to make a site.
Phube Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Okay, so here we go: I'm using IE 7, resolution 1280x1024. On a PC. Here's what I see:
Mr_Odwin Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Why is Norton all ticky down at the bottom of the screen?
Shorty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Norton could be your problem >.> Norton kills all computers. Did you hit stop? If not, why are so many images failing to load? It could be that dA uses blank transparent gifs to space things out, and they're not loading....
Phube Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Why is Norton all ticky down at the bottom of the screen? Tells me there are no problems, or undates ready! Did you hit stop? If not, why are so many images failing to load? It could be that dA uses blank transparent gifs to space things out, and they're not loading.... No I didn't hit stop, but doesn't usually do it... You tell me!! I only use PC's I've no idea what anything means... Just an update... I tried it on my Wii browser... and it worked fine. So I downloaded Opera and it works on my PC just fine aswell. The question is... short of using Opera for my main browser (which I don't really want to do... don't all shout at once!!!) what is wrong with my IE7???
Garden_Pigeon Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Hold Ctrl and then use the scroll wheel and it makes text larger/smaller, well it does on Firefox anyway.
