Wolf Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Will the EU Wiis come with the improved interface then? (the one what looks better?) :P
Bluejay Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Well, its not like you have an excuse to be honest. Wireless is easy to set up and cheap if not just go the wired route, most computers have an ethernet port. Cheap? Without a dongle, is it really that cheap? In other words, link me to a very cheap, competant router for Wii and DS.
Charlie Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 You can probably get a router that works with the Wii for the same price as the dongle if you look hard enough.
river_rage Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Actually uptake of the internet is only at about 50% and that's probably the best in the West.Only places that rival us are Japan and Korea. Uptake means what? Access to the Internet? Because in Denmark 83% of the population has access to the Internet from their homes so 50% doesn't sound like much to me. Unless I misunderstood btw. I had my first go at the Wii today at Toys R Us. It was great fun. Yay me I'll probably go there again tomorrow for a few hours
AshMat Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I need to try and get my Nintendo dongle working before Friday. When i plug it in it usually makes the ding-dong noise, but doesn't work.. or recognise that it's here.
Nintendork Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Denmark may have a better economy, more competitive internet market or better access to broadband. The comparison is invalid.
david.dakota Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 I'm assuming it has been confirmed the dongles work? Do you need to boot up your PC to use them though (the reason i ask is that i've seen a USB tabletop fan work with the computer OFF, and i was slightly confused by it). I suppose it'd be a massive own goal if Nintendo's dongle did not work, but thankfully, my router should solve any problems (unless my Wii explodes).
Charlie Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 The computer must've been hibernating, some USB devices still work when its hibernating. There is no reason why the dongle doens't work, it doesn't have DS in its title or anything.
