But you can put in the bag just like one can put an iPad. I've never heard anyone say an iPad is too big to take out of the home.
-
Not sure why Nintendo got units sent to be reviewed while things like the eShop are not live. The ign reviewer saying it's too big for a portable just baffles me. FFS people have no problem sticking a tablet in a bag. It's really not that much effort.

http://gonintendo.com/stories/275052-hamster-s-official-site-says-arcade-archives-launching-in-north-a Can't believe the screen isn't glass. Every portable device has gorilla glass these days don't they? Even budget - mid range phones have gorilla glass. Nintendo always gotta cut corners somewhere. Is the vita glass or plastic?
-
The joycon issue is still up in the air. Still no clarity at all. No gorilla glass, surprised with that. Screen protector a definite then.

The digital Foundry review throws up some interesting points. Why in docked mode is it not defaulting to 1080p. That's strange.

Looks great, exclusive as well. Nintendo are learning.

They expect strong sales in France : https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.gamepur.com/news/25903-nintendo-switch-vs-wii-pre-order-figures-same-france-report.html%3Famp Good read http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/02/28/nintendo-switch-pushes-my-buttons

Wii u did ok first weekend and then sales dropped off a cliff soon after. I think Nintendo have tried to be reserved because of that but I always thought 2 mil units seemed low for launch. Wii U sold 400k in the US first week, 300k in Japan. MVC said wii u sold 40k first weekend in the UK which was very very low. It shifted just 40k more in the next 6 weeks in the UK. The biggest problem Nintendo had was inventory stuck in warehouses as units were not leaving shelves. They obviously don't want this to happen again but I really think switch will have good word of mouth and people will want one after seeing it in action. The UK sales numbers will be very interesting as this is Nintendo's hardest market.

Impressive amount of indie titles. Now we just need Nintendo to sort the store sales out. More sales and flash sales like you see on psn and xb1 and then we have a winner. -

From Gaf thread Gamekult editor on graphical differences between the Zelda Switch/Wii U version Rough translation courtesy of Coffinhal: Strictly talking about the tutorial area : Strong aliasing Worse sharpness Serious framerate drops Visual issues with cutscenes and when getting out of the inventory Too many actions (using a power+rotating the camera = "framerate death") 5 sec loading time when you get back to the Home menu He installed every patch available The plateau on Switch is bad framerate related and it gets better after, but in the plateau it's nowhere near what the Wii U version is -
Game is sold out on Amazon.com. Congrats on that https://www.amazon.com/Super-Bomberman-R-Switch/dp/B01N9RAP7M?tag=viglink20241-20 30fps is kinda disappointing. Would of thought they could get 60fps for this.

It's not a console. The marketing has been great but it's a handheld with a kick stand.
-
That's how I see it. Tech wise it's packing a lot more and the battery is way better. Its expensive but I can see why that is.

Going from 3DS to this is going to be unreal.

This explain why Zelda performs so good and some saying handheld mode performs better than docked? Digital Foundry on how developers can access more Switch GPU power, plus analysis of the recent teardown. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-new-performance-mode-boosts-handheld-switch-clocks-by-25-per-cent The Nintendo handheld I've always wanted.
