Looks like I'll have to suck it up. Was this comparison vid of the Wii U & Wii versions of the game posted? Stylistically I think the Wii version looks nicer but I've barely seen any of the gameplay of the 2.

Can you get just the Wii U + Wii game on its own? I find most collector's editions are a waste of space.

I play on a 3DS XL and find the screen a bit too small at times, I couldn't imagine playing it on the original 3DS It helps a lot if you move the map onto the touch screen.
