  1. When was the last time Nintendo took it upon themselves to "squash" a rumor? ......My point exactly..... Nintendo is known for letting a rumor be a rumor. In other words, they don't comment on rumors. They simply let it live until they have an official announcement. This is basically confirmation for me....but either way, I'll still be playing Zelda.
  2. Umm...sorry to burst everyone's bubble but NGC never said TP was delayed. Read the article again, it clearly states that "sources" have said the REV will come out in November. They SPECULATE that TP will come out around the sametime as the REV, but they never said it would.
  3. I don't know why you would think that considering the Metriod Prime 2 REV demo was made in two weeks. Though the controls weren't super polished, they were damn good for TWO WEEKS. Also, this is the biggest team ever to make a Zelda game, so I wouldn't be surprized if they had a part of the team focusing on REVO controls. Plus, even if it were to come out in April, that's 7 months after the delay announcement. 7 months is definetly enough time to add another control scheme and polish the entire game. Hell, some full games are made in 7 months.
  4. Ok ok....check this out everyone First off let me explain a control scheme that could work for MANY games, but for now I'll use WaveRace as an example. The REVmote should be held like a normal remote, with the front pointed towards the TV and the face parrellel to the celing. Now, if you've ever ridden a jet-ski, you would now that to make a tight turn, you must turn AND lean in the direction you want to go. The same could be translated on to the REV. For example, if I want to make a tight left turn, I would first point the controller left (about 45 degrees), then tilt the controller down and to the left. In one fluid motion, you could pull off a 90 degree turn flawlessly. You can also tilt the controller forward to dive, and upwards to gain air. Rotating the controller left and right will perform barrel rolls. With this control scheme, the rider would seem to "standing" on top of your remote. Now imagine a snowboarding game. This control scheme would apply very well here to. Nintendo could have the most realilstic SnowBoarding sim ever, as well as the most fun arcade version. What about StarFox? Your controller (still pointed forwards, towards the TV) can become your craft. Pointing and tilting can manipulate your vehicle with a huge boost of accuracy. Lifting the controller lifts your craft upwards, higher into the air and vice versa for lowering. You can tilt the front of the controller upwards and then gun the engine to soar higher into the sky. You can then dip the front downwards or completely vertical to catch a free fall. Imagine manuevering through a canyon as StarFox. As it winds left and right, up and down, you can react intuitive with your human instincts. Tilting your controller left or right will turn your craft vertical, allowing you to get through those tight spaces. This canyon level is pretty hectic on its own, but imagine if a slew of enemies were chasing after you, or you were chasing after a slew of enemies. As they try to get away, doing whatever they can to not be caught, you must follow their actions. They may fly over a rock bridge, then dive into an tunnel. You follow as best you can. Once you enter the tunnel you find that itl is blocked at the end. Your enemies fly under the tunnel and into the river (who then spring out of the water after passing the end of the tunnel). You can either follow, or blow up the wall... Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. The controller has so much potential for my favorite games, I can't wait till I can play them in the comfort of my home.
  5. right.....believe what you like.... so ends this thread....
  6. You went from making sense to deliberately picking fights... are you lonely?
  7. I'm sure you have, because your post begs the questions. You don't have to answer them of course, nor do I want you to. I was just out to prove your statement regarding my age false, which I've done. Now let by-gons be by-gons (I have no idea how to spell that).
  8. haha....well sorry to bust your bubble, but your logic is flawed. Presuming my age off of one word is absurb. Maybe I should of followed it up, like so: What?! Where did this post come from? Why are you telling us this? What is your point? Games are fun? You seem to be out to prove a point that doesn't need to be proven. We already know. Your preaching to the followers here.
  9. True, but what about something like Super Punch out REV edition? It would be pretty badass.....
  10. Ok....and that is relevant how?
  11. Super Mario Allstars, StarFox 64, Pilotwings, Killer Instinct Gold, Diddy Kong Racing, and Majora's Mask. That should keep me pretty entertained for a while.
  12. ooohhh....I like that one. It plays off of the NES which is the greatest console ever. P.S. I only like the NES better than the SNES because it came first.
  13. The first post had me thinking one word: What?!
  14. I was wondering the same thing....then it hit me. What if changing weapons was handled by simply twisting the remote left or right (to cycle left and right through the array of modes respectively). The visors could then be left to the D-pad. Or....twisting the remote could swap the visor and weapon menus. For example, the d-pad has all the visor buttons. With a simple twist it changes into guns. Or...Up/Down could handle changing guns while left/right could handle visors. This could leave the twisting mechanic for missles and hopefully super missles. No, I don't think that's the reason. It was a bit rough because it was implemented in less than TWO WEEKS. Many hands-on mention that the game would wig out every now and then, then return to FPS bliss. When it controlled as it should, they were very impressed with it, and mentioned how quick and responsive it was. The finally product will have the kinks all worked out, as well as a nice layer of polish.
  15. You misunderstood me. Why don't you, in addition to giving us the link, give a short summary of what's important. That's all I wanted. Did you notice the outcry from all the users who couldn't access the information? People are lazy also, so since you've already seen the video, why not give a short explanation? That's all I was saying. I didn't want a transcript of what was said ahaha.
  16. How about next time you tell us all the relevant information as well as post the link in case we wanted to see the whole thing?
  17. I'm not sure if your making fun of me (calling me a dits or something...I'm black and live no where near the beach buddy), or making fun of yourself. It was a stupid comment all around. Anyway, DS-REV connectivity has already been confirmed. They didn't tell us anything else (as usual). I'm sure downloading REV VC games to your DS is in the works (the obvious use of the connection), so I wouldn't worry. As for my wish? So many things are already coming true that making a wish at this point would seem...well, pointless. However, I'll still join in the fun and say RE5. Imagine walking around in a pitch black environment with only a flash light (controlled via the REV). It would be like the part where your ashley except MUCH more immersive. Add a couple zombies or bats (basically something to startle you) and it could quite possibily be the scarest game to date. With better, faster, more precise aiming, the bosses could be crazy intimadating but still beatable. Imagine driving a humvee, chasing down a beast of a bird with a gatlin gun. Your aim with gun would have to be almost perfect. The dragon/bird would swoop by and grab the top of the humvee. You have to act quickly and slice it's talons off. You can also control the humvee (albeit restricted). Quickly moving your hand left or right will cause the humvee to swerve. This is good for DODGING FIREBALLS! Anyway, the game has endless potential. It would be a shame if not made.
  18. Pfff....to hell with Rogue Squadron PILOTWINGS!
  19. Whoever said the controller was the big thing, think again. If anything, it is on equal standing to whatever ever is left. What's my reasoning for this claim? Well Retro made a very intriguing comment when asked if they were going to use the REV controller in MP3....their response: "We are going to use the many features the REV has to offer, as well as the controller." As well as the controller? Makes it sound like an afterthought...a given. What could be the other features? Who the hell knows?
  20. Ya, then they could call it the toaster.
  21. It's funny how even though most of those are very obvious, I still almost piss my pants with anticipation. Most notable: Starfox, Wave Race, Punch Out!, and PilotWings (though I thought this was Rare's?).
  22. Umm...Big Tac...why are you doing this to everyone? How could someone like you know about all these things? You said your a journalist, but so are many other people. Why don't they know about this information? All those games at launch? Hahahaha, I'll believe it when I see it. You forget that barely any third-party developers knew about the REV till E3 of this year. I doubt many companies could complete a REV title in a little more than a year, let only 3 or however many you stated. More importantly, why are you forum goers buying into his crap? Stocka: There is at least 1 RPG officially CONFIRMED. Camelot is developing the only known RPG for the REV. Nobody knows if it's Golden Sun or something new. However, given the REV's capabilities, wouldn't using your psych energy be that much cooler?
  23. I'd just be glad to play it at this point!
  24. I wasn't actually thinking of making a game, instead, I thought the idea was interesting and wanted to share it. However, since you guys seem to have a level of faith unlike my own, I might consider it. I don't care for copyrights though, just as long as I get some recognition (like in the end credits and maybe a copy of the game).
  25. That's actually an interesting point. What will happen when graphics are real? Will you still feel the same joy as killing a man in GoldenEye or Halo? Or will you feel horrible about yourself? I think since we know it's not real, we won't have any psychological damage associated with killing a human person. Although, what if you the person begged for there life? What if when you shot them, the person's child cried? It would seem so real that the consequences could turn out being be the same, regardless of you knowing its fake.
