I understand that the retail cost of games has not increased in 15 years. I remember N64 games being 50 quid. However, I think the £40-50 is about right for a game. Many people don't have the cash to spend huge amounts on entertainment with cost of living increases and wages continuing to stagnate. It is much easier and affordable to pay £40 for a game and pay a little extra at a later time for additional content than pay £70 for a game. I would be struggling to justify paying that much money out of the monthly budget when I have financial commitments.

Seems high scores for something that is essentially the same game released 12 months ago with added features. I've ordered the game and it may arrive tomorrow but part of me thinks that its a little too early to go through Alola again. It was about a year ago since Sun & Moon was released. I wish that I never bothered with that now. Also I wish they just released it as DLC but I suppose why bother when the game sells millions. I'm part of the problem.

I figured I should listen to some podcasts whilst running. What is the best Nintendo and PS4 one to listen to?

@londragon Its supposed to be "shhedule" if you're British. The US pronunciation is "skedule". To be honest you often hear both.

Its all about tastes isn't. The 3DS is having objectively a great year but the games haven't necessarily been for me whereas the Switch's games have. There is no denying that Nintendo are on fire with their games at the moment. Its so much better than the Wii U years. I consider myself so lucky that I have access to so many quality titles across PS4, Switch and 3DS. I'm spoiled for choice and unfortunately don't have enough time to experience them all.

It has been a fantastic year on a Nintendo front with me. Both Mario and Zelda I have fully enjoyed, even amazed by them. There are criticisms for both but I have really enjoyed them nonetheless. I think sometimes Nintendo can't do right from doing wrong. Oh well, they can't please everyone. I hated them in the Wii U years. I love the fact that they take chances with their franchises albeit it may not be the way forward you were expecting or wanting.

@Ganepark32 I completely disagree when you say Nintendo needs a "kick up the backside" on the game front. It has been a fantastic year for them with a constant release of critically acclaimed games! Sounds to me that Nintendo of 2017 is really not for you.

So idiotic of Nintendo not carrying on with Miiverse.

I will be buying the complete edition for xmas I think. I'm looking forward to give Horizon a go.

Finally did it!! Yes!! I got a bit excited when i did it so fucked it up after that. I'm never doing that mini game again.

Yeah ive had a go at that one and i got the minimum to get the first moon. Im not looking forward to getting back to it tbh. I don't think im ever going to manage 100 for the rope.

I hate that rope jump challenge. Managed 74 but I can't even manage to get close to that amount again.
