  1. The Wrasslin' thread

Quick predictions before the actual event. A great chance for some to rise up and shine, due to the lack of real star power / standout matches on the card: HHH vs Reigns (Hmm...) Brock vs Dean (this will make Dean look good, although expecting Wyatt interference) Taker vs Shane (I sure hope the Undertaker gets a win, but I can see a screwy finish) AJ vs Jericho (match of the night contender, and I'm a huge fan of both of these guys) IC Ladder Match: Kevin Owens (tough call between him and Sami, although I'd like to see Dolphins with the title again) New Day vs League Of Nations Sasha vs Becky vs Charlotte Usos vs Dudleys Ryback vs Kalisto Battle Royale: Bray Wyatt (there's a distinct lack of Wyatts on the card considering how they were built up at the beginning of the year) Here's hoping for some surprises and this one exceeds my expectations.
  2. Off-TV Play

I love using the off-TV option. I use it when there's something on TV or while in bed (our room being just above the TV helps with the range issue). It's a shame there's such a difference in quality between the TV and GamePad, but I've been able to play for many more hours because of this excellent option.
  3. Batman: Arkham Knight

Mark Hamill was a guest on "Saturday Night Takeaway" tonight and I absolutely loved it when he did one of the links in his Joker voice (after they mentioned his BAFTA nomination for playing the Joker in Arkham Knight). It's the first time I've actually seen him do it and he went straight into it, maniacal laughter and all!
  4. Paul Daniels has Died

Really sad news. He Wa still performing and his shows were only cut short upon news of his tumour. A performer until the end. I was one of those bought up with a Panl Daniels Magic Set. He found a niche and made the most of his opportunity. Sad news and a big loss to the entertainment industry.
  5. Ghostbusters (2016)

Ah those were the best days! So many good shows to choose from!
  6. NEShow Monthly Contest Thread

I think this is a great idea! It means that lots of people are playing the same game at the same time to encourage discussion, and it also gives another reason to revisit some classic games.
  7. The Wrasslin' thread

I used to that on another forum. I'm up for it, it's nice to see whether WWE is as predictable as people make out, and also if I share the same opinion as others. As for tonight: Tag Team pre-show: The Dudley Boys Tag Team Championship: The Usos via DQ (New Day stay champs) Divas Championship: Charlotte U.S. Title: Alberto Del Rio Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose (close call) Royal Rumble: Roman Reigns I hope I'm wrong on the Rumble, as WWE have such a fantastic opportunity to do something differ and surprise us. The obvious shock is HHH, which is surely too obvious. The smart money would surely be on a Brock Lesnar vs Roman showdown, so how good would it be if WWE swerved us all with something exciting and different!?
  8. Football Season 2015/16

Another big night of football ahead, and with no major upsets so far it seems only fair that there's at least one upset this round... Which means it's all set for Exeter to pull off one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history, right? Right.....? Gutted I couldn't get a ticket (can you believe that even Liverpool have sold out of tickets to watch the 'mighty' Grecians!), so am having to find a pub with BT Sport and no doubt there'll be a lot of banter with everyone else. I can see the Liverpool second string team either walloping us (most likely) or the one team will sneak by with just a single goal in it.... Financially Exeter are winners from this either way! Game on!
  9. BOXBOY!

Wow that one really snuck through. Considering the team behind it and just how good the original game is, I'm surprised Nintendo haven't made more of a song and dance about this one! Great game and I'm pleased to see it gain a sequel.
  10. A Boy & His Blob HD ( PS4/Vita/One/PC )

"Charming" is the best word for describing the game in my opinion. I'm delighted to see it being released on other formats as well. For some reason it had little fanfare when it arrived on Nintendo's console and I'd like to see the series continued in the future, so hopefully this will see it sell a little better too!
  11. Football Season 2015/16

Agreed. Just 3 points off a Champions League spot yet listening to their fans you'd think they were battling for relegation! I don't think they're playing well at the moment, but they are sneaking enough results in that they are still in serious contention. A few wins coupled with a loss or two for Arsenal, Leicester, etc and suddenly they are battling for the title! By the way, fantastic showing by Sheffield Utd, Eastleigh, Wycombe and a whole host of lower league clubs in the FA Cup so far! As an Exeter fan I was ecstatic that we've gained a replay against Liverpool as the money could completely change the club! I don't care what kind of Liverpool team was put out or why star players such as Llana were kept on the bench. It was a good game of football and now I have to see if I can get a ticket for Anfield! "So Jürgen, have you ever done a pre-match interview in a tea room before?" Haha, priceless! Welcome to Exeter Herr Klopp!
  12. Games Done Quick

That Mario Maker section was just brilliant! I loved that they got some of the most popular level designers to be there and make levels for the event, and seeing them played by some of the best players in the world was an amazing watch! The crowd were into it and it just made the whole section captivating. (& made me realise just what a novice I am at playing Mario!)
  13. Nintendo Badge Arcade (eShop)

Wow they don't hang around for long do they? No sooner are the Majora's Mask ones arrive then it's suddenly their last day today! I didn't do so well on the dummy catcher so I've missed out on this round Hopefully they'll be back soon.
  14. Merry Christmas!

Glad to see so many people having a good Christmas. We hosted both my family and my wife's family this year so a little stressful and pressured organising it. The day went really well and everyone was fun, festive and, once we'd served up a feast of food, full! I was humbled and grateful for the guts I received this year, including Super Mario Maker & Xenoblade alongside Arkham Knight and AC4 on PS4. Merry Christmas everyone!
  15. Heavy Rain & Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)

The wife and I are currently playing through Beyond (following how much she enjoyed the decision-making gameplay from Life Us Strange) and so far we're really enjoying it. It may only be because we're only a few hours in, but we are really yet to see whether the decisions we make have any effect on the story. Technically it is excellent and we are enjoying the story so far.
  16. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

It's sad that this will be the final Smash presentation. They've always been a great source of excitement and intrigue for Nintendo fans, and always guaranteed to bring surprises. They've also provided a great way of maintaining interest in the game post-launch. I can't wait to find out who fills up the final roster slots! All will be revealed...
  17. Your Smash Bros Memories

Some of my earliest and favourite memories come courtesy of the original N64 brawler. At the time our 6th Form was playing host to many a combative Street Fighter 2 contest on an old SNES. I was excited about this new Nintendo fighting game although I wasn't sure how easy it was going to persuade the others to try this new-style fighter where there were four players trying to knock each other off the screen, while combining items and platforming elements…. …It took precisely 30 seconds! Suddenly everyone was hooked. With so many players wanting to play, we had to run it so the winner stayed on, although the main players were Kirby, Samus, Jigglypuff, Luigi, and my character of choice from (I thought) some obscure RPG: Ness. It was great to see the different tactics and playing styles. The frustration at Kirby turning into a rock and constantly dropping on our heads, the joy of finally discovering ways of countering it! There was the risk-reward of Luigi’s mighty uppercut, the satisfaction of connecting with the baseball bat and the mad dash towards the all-conquering hammer whenever it appeared! We all had an absolute blast and loved the game. For one game to hold so many memories is a testament to how great the whole concept and game was. The Smash Bros series has only improved and developed over time. While it has only got better and will hopefully continue to do so, nothing can take away the joy that the first title gave to me. You never forget your first Smash!
  18. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

Wow, I thought the game looked good before, but this guy has really demonstrated just how brilliant the art style is and how detailed some of the locations are. I loved the game on the N64 and the 3DS version has just continued my admiration of this Zelda title. The fact that they completed the original game in around 12 months is simply staggering. While the low number of dungeons is a disappointment, the number of sub quests goes a long way towards making up for it.
  19. Football Season 2015/16

They have both done brilliantly to qualify! For the ROI that was a tough play-off game against a decent team. It's all lining up to be an exciting tournament and about time we had more of our home nations qualifying together.
  20. Yooka-Laylee

I'd love to see Playtonic using the arcade games to parody older games. With the sense of humour they have it's quite plausible and would provide a fun distraction within the game. Ideally older Rare games are surely rife for parodying, especially those the Playtonic team worked on.
  21. Nintendo Direct - November 12th 10pm

Platonic Games are teasing fans on Twitter... @PlaytonicGames: Today The hype train is really getting into full swing! I hope Nintendo deliver with this one. It's a great chance to get a little bit of excitement back considering the rather undetwhelming past few months (with just a few exceptions).
  22. Wii U VC

    Congrats @S\.C\.G works hard on.
  23. The Nintendo Playstation

That's absolutely incredible. The system is evidence of one of the key decisions in videogame history and certainly deserves a place in a museum somewhere. If it does turn out to be a hoax, it's getting incredibly elaborate... It seems genuine and I still can't believe that no-one else in the father's company managed to obtain a system.
  24. Hyrule Warriors 3DS

I initially didn't give this game a second glance, having put many hours into the WiiU version. With the extra characters and content they seem to be cramming into that tiny cartridge I'm getting more and more interested. Hopefully they can add some more gameplay contents / levels besides just the extra characters.
  25. What Have You Bought?

Congratulations! Are you a first time buyer? It's a brilliant feeling purchasing a house and that one looks nice. House prices in your area are pretty good too! Congrats EvilMurray!
