  1. Hello RE, I Want To Play A Game

Really, really good stuff, man. Reminds me of the films all over again. Brilliant. Also, if you need to edit the title, just PM a mod or admin and they'll do it for you.
  2. why no Doom??

In all honesty, if the Revo is underpowered compared to the others, then does that definitely mean they cannot make the same game (but different) on the Revo? Take, for example, Tony Hawks American Sk8land. How many versions of that game are there? There's an xbox360 version, a ps2 version, as well as even a DS version (which, may i add, is very different compared to the other consoles). See what i mean?
  3. Revolution's image not good in the press!!

I read that article, and i was fuming as well. To be honest tho, they have already made a mistake anyway. In a previous article, they had a child saying that the PSP was "much better" than the DS. Better graphics, can watch movies, etc. But, the DS is proving to be more popular with sales than the PSP, correct? So.. Personally, i think YenRug's idea is brilliant. Lets all compile an email and send it to them. We can say facts and figures about the DS and compare them with the PSP, and say that basically things don't always turn out as you expect them to. They expected the PSP to dominate, and they also expect the PS3 to dominate.
  4. Deal or No Deal going primetime?

In my opinion, there's only a person on the end of the line part of the time. I believe that Noel makes up the deals up himself tho. Although, i'm not completely sure about it. I think he's a cracking entertainer to have us all guessing like this.
  5. Deal or No Deal going primetime?

Haha, yes, i saw that. Me and my mates have been debating whether or not there was really someone on the end of the line. Guess that settles it.
  6. Smash Bros. revolution

I think it's a cool idea, and it's definitely original and uses the REV's features well. I think there are some problems with it tho. What about character animations to match what you are doing? I think this could pose to be a problem.
  7. About Zelda **Concering SPOILERS**

Aye, i can see the problem here. If the title was "ganondorf to be in Zelda: twilight princess" i would be a bit cheesed off as well. I'll tell the newsies to be careful in the future. Anyway, there's an official Zelda thread. Hopefully, people are still using spoiler tags there where new information is confirmed. Even though there hasn't been a great amount of info revealed yet. So, to conclude: I'll lock this, but i will respect your wishes and will tell the news staff to be careful with titles in future. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  8. Guess who's directing....

Hehe:D That's a debateable argument, and i really don't know the answer to that. Thing is, when a film has a different director for the sequel, it sorta puts a new spin on things. So, to that question, i would say yes and no.
  9. Guess who's directing....

Uhh, hate to break it to you on the last bit, but they kinda do. :P Actually, before AvP was even in production, they were already in the same universe. How? Go watch Predator 2. In the ship, at the end. Notice something familiar on the wall? Edit: Haha, sorry guys. I'm just a wee bit passionate about Aliens/Predator/AvP.
  10. Guess who's directing....

You've read Prey, right?:P Here are some similarities with the book: 1. Book: The Predators plan to hunt the aliens. However, the hunt goes wrong due to humans being at the place where the hunt is taking place. Film: Predators plan to hunt the aliens. Oh, and guess what? Humans just happen to be there, and the hunt just happens to go wrong (what with 2 preds dying within 5 mins of each other) 2. Book: During a scene in the book, the human finds that one of her own kind has been impregnated by an alien. She kills the human. Mercy kill. Film: Same thing happens, in the alien hive. "they mustn't reach the surface." 3. Book: Predator and human form an alliance to try and defeat the aliens. Film: Exactly the same thing happens. 4. Book: Predator is fatally wounded, and so dies. The human, who i might add is a woman (just like in the film), is very saddened by this. In the final chapter, the other predators turn up and make her part of the clan. Film: Predator is fatally wounded and dies. The other predators turn up and see the symbol upon her face (which is also featured in the book) and so give her a weapon. I interpreted this to mean that they accept her as one of their own. But of course, the film is an insult to the book and Anderson is crap. What do i know?
  11. Global Warming: Fact or Fiction?

Hey, you know your stuff. France have an outstanding record for using Nuclear power stations. But, as you said, there have been a few major incidents. It's unfortunate that due to the nature of those incidents, people associate nuclear power with devastation or death.
  12. Guess who's directing....

The Resident Evil films really aren't THAT bad. I enjoyed them both. There were certain aspects of the films that i agreed with and liked, and there were certain bits i didn't like. The argument about Nemesis tho, is that deep down it was still human. So it could experience feelings, hence why it cried.
  13. Global Warming: Fact or Fiction?

Rationing would be terrible, and i hope we never get to that point. Ooo, another thing, wind farms are frowned upon by certain people in the countryside. I remember seeing news broadcasts about how some people felt that they were ruining the landscape. Another thing is that birds have a nasty habit of flying into them. I probably shouldn't laugh at the last bit. So, i guess it looks like we're sorting the problem out at the right time. If we start researching into fission/fusion, then hopefully some good will come out of that.
  14. Guess who's directing....

Actually, i enjoyed Alien vs. Predator, and i think he did quite a good job. The movie is loosely based on the novel "Alien vs. Predator: Prey". If i'm totally honest, he was the right person for the job. In an internet interview, he said how big a fan of the films he was and how he felt it an honour to be given this film to direct. Personally, i think people judge him on the Resident Evil film, which he didn't do THAT badly on.
  15. Guess who's directing....

Just wondering, but have you ever seen Event Horizon and Alien Vs. Predator (AvP)?
  16. Global Warming: Fact or Fiction?

Although that would be simple, it isn't. I did a project on renewable energy, and although Nuclear energy isn't safe, it is probably the best replacement for giving out power. It would take something like 70 wind farms to equal the power output of a nuclear power station (probably more). So, the options are not looking great, imo. I don't have go into the Chernobyl incident, do i?
  17. Global Warming: Fact or Fiction?

Personally, i do think that man has played a very significant part in all of this. I've picked up an interest in this topic over the few years or so, because we're seeing things like floods becoming a more recent occurance. I could go into more detail, but i believe the theory that there is a blanket around the Earth keeping the heat in. So, for me, global warming because of man is a harsh fact.
  18. Why did Nintendo sell up its Rare shares?

Well, this is kinda an old subject. And i feel that the question has been answered. So, lets lay this dead dog to rest, eh? [Locked]
  19. Floor Vision patent

Come on, get real. :P And YenRug, i agree with you completely. I'm sick to death about all this 4D stuff.
  20. Your 5 personal highlights of 2005

    1. Passing my A levels and getting into Uni. Just working hard and getting the grades to get in was a big highlight for me, and i felt proud of myself when i got my results. 2. Getting into Uni and uni life. I remember i made a thread on the old boards when i didn't get into Brighton, and then the decision was over-turned. Then, going to uni and fitting in with all these new faces. I thought i wasn't going to fit in and be an outcast, but i'm glad that i've made so many friends there now. 3. Finally passing the 1 year anniversary mark with my girlfriend. This is a bluddy big achievement for me as my previous relationship only lasted 4 months before that. 4. Seeing the Revolution Controller unvieled and speculating with people, both on and off the forums. It's brilliant to see something causing a stir in gaming. 5. Watching football with my brother, especially during a big game like Man Utd vs Arsenal, or Liverpool. Had some great moments celebrating after we scored and some excellent moments when you just shout as soon as the ball goes into the net. Probably doesn't seem like a big deal to many, but it is to me.
  21. The downside of Stage-Diving

    Well said, that man.
  22. Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)

Hehe, good stuff. Are you fairly new to the forums. If so, then welcome, and i hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
  23. Hope it's not too late. Just in the nick of time, i hope. 1. Perfect Dark- (N64)- Hands down, the best FPS i have ever played. The best damn FPS multiplayer there is to have on a console in my honest opinion. Do yourself a favour and get some mates and this brilliant game. 2. Eternal Darkness - (Gamecube)- It's a brilliant game that i've played through many times. It's been a while since i last played it, but it had me so gripped. Definitely the best game for the Gamecube. 3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- (N64)- Probably the greatest game of all time, and it's one of the only games to have had me engrossed for a long period of time. Definitely a must have title. 4. Super Smash Bros. Melee- (Gamecube) This title still gets played by me, in multiplayer mainly. Nothing like thrashing your mates at a game like this. 5. Killer 7 - (Gamecube)- I love this game so much. The story is soooo deep it'll leave you thinking for weeks. It's one of the most memorable games that this generation has had, and it definitely deserves your attention.
  24. Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)

Well said. It's better to release the game at a later date to perfect it, rather than rushing it, anyway. I think it's a bit funny to hear all these dates flying about. It's amazing how far speculation can travel.
  25. Japan Xmas numbers!

Although this thread is almost indentical to one in the handheld board, i will give it my blessing..provided it's used for Gamecube discussion. Seems only fair, it is in the Gamecube board. Are my thoughts deceiving me, or are GC sales on the rise?
