The 1% of all sales figure is pretty meaningless and misleading. At this point in time I'm sure the Switch only makes up 1% of all consoles in comparison to PS3/4 and XB1/360. The most important figure will be attach rate. If EA know that for arguments sake 20% of Switch owners will buy FIFA, they can get a pretty accurate idea of sales based on how many Switches have sold and base their continuing support on these numbers. Switch still seems to selling good numbers, so EA can probably assume that they'll sell double next year and that figure will increase year on year.

I was in Game on Friday and the sales guy said they have record pre orders for Mario Odyssey . Not bad considering how many Switches have been sold.

Only just played my first few games in UT offline, currently trying to patch together a 100 chemistry team to enter the tournament. I have packed a OTW card, nor sure whether to sell and use the coins to buy a few players or keep for a while and gamble that he gets better and his value will go even higher. I forgot just how much fun the early stages of UT are when you're trying to build a squad. I find myself browsing the transfer market and not even playing matches. When will the first sales figure hit?

It's frustrating that this one issue has resulted in largely negative press for the Switch version, when the fact of the matter is that this is a superior version to what we thought we would get.

Whilst this doesn't impact on me, as I only really play Ultimate team, it's still a major fuck up. And as most games I have played on Switch seem to have a friend option, this can only be down to EA. I do wonder if you can play with friends when consoles are linked. All the adverts for Switch really push the idea of meeting up with friends and linking the consoles, so maybe EA thought that's how it will work? At least it's saved @dazzybee from an can of woop ass.

I meant 10 mins out of the 90 mins not real time. I don't know the reasoning, but there is no doubt that you go on streaks (FIFA 16) Either relegated or promoted 3 seasons straight where you either can't win or lose. When you're on a losing streak you'll hit the post 3-4 times, opposition keeper will have a 9.8+ rating (saves everything) and you'll lose 1-0 to the only shot against you in the game. In a one off match that's annoying, when it happens for three seasons, it's rage inducing. On the flip-side when you're on the winning streak you'll be 3-0 within 15 minutes and seem to score from anywhere. It's the only thing that ruins Ultimate team for me. Anyway... anybody got their copy yet, first impressions??????

If you want to play against a variety of styles you need to go online. For me that's one of the best features of Ultimate Team. The first 5-10 minutes of the game feeling out your opponent, working out their style. Apart from when the game completely mugs you off, which sadly happens far too often, you generally know within the first 10 minutes if you're going to win or lose.

I think Fifa does/can play a very realistic game of football. The only problem I have is online with the fucking dribble monkies, that's totally ruins the experience

I am excited, but have concerns. The review embargo rings alarm bells and I read an interview earlier and it seems Ultimate Team is missing features, apparently it's too much for Nintendo players to take on so they will phase in all the full features in coming versions. I'm hoping this is just coaches and training, which don't really add much anyway.

Day before Fifa. BUGGER! I wouldn't mind some early opinions on this. I loved Mario Golf advance but worried this is too much rpg.

Great news I was starting to get a little bit concerned at the lack of reviews, but it's Fifa so I guess we pretty much know what we are getting. This is start of a great period for the Switch.

I do have a lot of games on the Wii U but I Assume I would need to delete my account before I sell it and the games would then become unplayable as they are linked to the account. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to go about preparing the system to sell.

I've decided to bite the bullet and trade in my Wii U. I've still got 101, and Pikmin on the hard drive plus a disc copy of AC Black Flag that I really wanted to complete (I haven't even started) before I bid farewell, but in reality I doubt I'll ever get around to playing them. The plus side is I've got a Wii U, 2 pro controllers, several Wii motes and a few disc games, so I should get pretty decent trade in price. Going to splurge on some new games and peripherals. Once Fifa 18 comes out the Switch is going to be a constant companion.

I just watched it on my phone and thought exactly the same. If there weren't any pop ups announcing which console was running I wouldn't have known they were different.

I didn't realise you couldn't. Is it only games you can save to SD? That will change in an update otherwise people will run out of space before too long.

Single player games on Switch for your commute, multiplayer games on your PS4. Glad top help ;-)

Not good at all for me. They lost me at 20 minutes of Xenoblade and never got me back. EA got about a minute to cover 3 games, way to improve relationships Nintendo! DOOM multiplayer should be awesome, but again FIFA is coming out in 2 weeks and barely gets a mention.

Wasn't Luigi's Mansion mentioned as a launch game way back when the Switch was still NX? Surely if this was in development it would have been announced by now. I really hope we get the FIFA demo and some kind of news on Virtual Console. I expect Stardew Valley to be available plus one or two others that have already been confirmed as September. Release dates for games we know are close... Steep, Rocket League, Skyrim etc Possibly some early footage of either Metroid or Pokémon. A BIG announcement of some new game.

Switch is not getting the demo! Even though EA are giving us a fully fledged FIFA they still find little ways of shafting us Nintendo owners.

Is Switch getting the Fifa demo?

Day 1 for me. Think I'm on my 75th season on Fifa 16 Ultimate Team and that's just with evenings and weekends. The Switch will be coming to work with me so I'll be doing a season every few days. Genuinely concerned at how much money I'll be spending on Ultimate Team, especially in the early days when I have crap Bronze players. I already pretty much know the formation and players I want. EA should really give this game away for free for people who spend a certain amount on Ultimate Team. I'm sure @dazzybee is in a similar position to me in that he can play during the day. Looking forward to "dazzybee is online" notifications

Is there any point in pre ordering this. I can't see any of the bonuses of extra players and packs the other systems are getting. The Switch engine is based on ignite which Fifa 16 used, so that's probably where the comparison came from. I can't find the article now.
