  1. Oh? I thought Mario Galaxy had true Widescreen.

The rest of my games have slight black borders on my HDTV, but Galaxy fills it.

Well it does. Its just how the Wii works. It processes everything at 720x480.

4:3 is 640x480 & 16:9 is 854x480. This is pretty much half way.

Some games use it differently. Personally I think its lazy of them to do it like that :p

I could just be going off on a tangent though :p

  2. Definately , although I don't seem to have returned to it since getting the 120 stars.

Is it just me or is playing the game as Luigi just not so much fun due to him been such a slippery SOB.

Its more fun as you have to adapt to them and become the bettwer player. I actually found a lot of tricky stars that cost me many lives as beforehand than after due to his control, but then there were harder ones...

    ...bloody Cosmic Comets...

  3. I dunno I don't remember acquring stars so quick in Mario 64 and lasting much much longer.

Human Memory is rarely perfect. Play through it now...it'll take you less than Galaxy. Trust me. I replayed Mario 64 DS myself a few months ago. Got all 150 Stars in 2 days

  4. just finnished the game with 62 stars

really dissappointed because its only been 10 days and iv finished the game while it took me well over 7 months to finish mario 64 with 70 stars.

gonna go and try and get the rest. better take longer, iv only clocked like 25 hours of gameplay while clocking well over 100 hours on mario 64.

final word, its too short, expected it to last well over 3-4 months. still, best game i played in a long time (long with zeldaTP).

PS. i put mario into orbit with a yahoo jump while on a small planet, took about 3 mins before he landed again.! love doing that.

No offense, but you cant blame Nintendo or the game for that. At that rate if its true of completing Mario 64 in 7 months with 70 stars thats 10 stars a month, assuming you get only one star each time you play, you could only have played an average of once every three days. Either you're remembering wrong or you're just exaggerating the truth a bit :/

  5. Didn't they say at E3 that there were going to be several control options though? (Presumably Wiimote (Wii Wheel), Wiimote+Nunchuck, Classic Controller & Cube Controller) Thought they did but I cant remember 100%

  6. I'm expecting it back in a few weeks. If not, Jan 2008.

I have no-idea how long it takes to re-design a website etc...

One of the first rules of web design...minimise any possible downtime

If you are overhaulling a site, try and do a floating overhaul...have it running while doing it. If not then take it off for the time it takes to implement

The fact is, they didnt start redesigning like yesterday...they probably have been doing it for months and now they have the implementation

It shall be down for no more than a week at most

  7. Only got 21 stars left to get :D tho I prolly would have got them by now if it wasnt for Mario & Sonic :P

    Make that 16

The new Cosmic Comets really do piss me off...you have to constantly stay in right front of him to the point theres Star Bits flying everywhere. He's always long jumping and where possible you need to take as many shortcuts yourself. It really sucks. Done 2 of them...got 2 to go...they're gonna be the two stars remaining that will piss me off to no end...I can guarantee it

  8. And more than 1000 ones across all of europe so that you dont have to order the second that its put up to get it.

Like have it up for say 2 weeks and then they get as many as that made or something like that. That way there'd be an excuse for 4-24 weeks delivery :p
