Good. Consoles don't sell on launch lineups. They sell on promise. If they sold on launch window, then the PS4 wouldn't have sold well.

I see so many people saying "I have a second TV so it's fine" as if they are the only one. Hell, I have a friend who got a second TV to play his Xbox One on while his girlfriend watched TV. So clearly there's a market here for those who don't have disposable income to do that

That would be nice. I would like that However, Koei Tecmo actually went to TPC with that idea in 2009 and they declined due to it being too violent and went back with the idea of crossing Pokémon and Nobunaga's Ambition, which then became Pokémon Conquest. It could still happen, but I'm unsure.

The developer can make it run as well as when docked if they do so wish. Thing is, IGN's PlayStation podcast had a thing about Switch and Brian said the Switch being 1080p was a bad thing. I'll start caring about 4k gaming after developers can actually manage solid 1080p60/1080p30 rendered games

VR could technically be possible on lower power devices. You do realise VR has been a thing for a while, right? As for "convincing crowds"? Come on, man.

Thing is, we're reaching the age of diminishing returns for that. We're not going to see huge jumps like that anymore.

And power is very rarely the factor into determining which console sells the best. Wii sold the best. PS2. PS1. SNES. GameBoy. GameBoy Advance. DS. 3DS. All the weaker of their generation and all the best selling. It's only PS4 that has bucked this trend So far with the PS4/XBO, there really hasn't been anything that hasn't been possible previously, just with slightly worse graphics. I'm not saying increasing specs is bad. I'm saying that having the highest specs isn't everything that it is made out to be.
