Has a craptonne of weapons and gear at launch as it is. People are really shortchanging it by just focusing on the 2 multiplayer modes at launch, ignoring the local multiplayer, single player and the actual features of the game and stating it's incomplete. Should it have more modes at launch? Probably, but that doesn't mean it's missing potential.

Using Boo Mario and Boo Luigi really makes the game better. Kills choice somewhat (all my primary support and leaders are underlevelled now), but their abilities combined just make hits hit so hard. Almost at World 7 now because of that. All you need to do is match 3 different colours each turn and you'll get a 2.5x bonus followed by another 2.5x bonus I thought @Glen\-i was just exaggerating, but yikes this makes it easier and, more importantly, more fun

I believe you'll actually be pleasantly surprised at the amount of content in the game by Friday. Sure, it has 5 maps and "2" modes, but there's a craptonne of content from what I have been given to understand.

Yeah, they can only add free content if the game is unfinished, not because that's Nintendo. 200cc means Mario Kart 8 was unfinished until this year. If we didn't have these updates, there may have been complaints about a lack of maps, but nobody would say it's unfinished. Before the Direct, we thought we knew everything about the game and most people were happy with the content, but then the Direct said "Hey, we're adding more content for free", so now it's "unfinished". This whole argument is utterly ridiculous.

It's not an unfinished game. Just because they are adding support after launch does not make it unfinished.

3DS isn't doing "badly", it's just not doing great. Abandoning it at this point would be a bad idea. It's best not to rush a new device out.

Not saying they don't believe in it or that we won't get DLC down the line. I'm saying the theory that it's being promoted because they will drop DLC on it is a massive conspiracy theory level idea.
