  1. To all those worrying about a North Korean threat - I don't think we need be worried as much as the press would have you be. Why? China North Korea is in a state of havok at the moment. It can't feed or house its people, and its economy is non-existant. Hell, the rocket that they fired the other day, the one that everyone was panicking about, didn't go off correctly. Check this weeks issue of the economist, the cartoon sums up North Korea very nicely. Infact North Korea is only really surviving at the moment because of Chinese donations (I don't need to tell you that China can afford it). Now this is all good and well, upholding the whole 'communist buddies' thing whilst North Korea are playing nice, but if they offend the west (the backbone of the Chinese economy), then the chinese will leave North Korea to collapse like the drunk girl at a party. Now granted, the Chinese hate the Japanese (see Japanese war atrocities WW2 in China), but they won't let N.K. attack them, because yet again the west won't have it. What is happening in the middle east is dreadful. I wish I could help - I feel so useless.
  2. One Bullet

Easy question - If you had one bullet who would you shoot? For me: The guy from the confused.com advert. Unfortunatly it would only end him, not the adverts.
  3. Mario Galaxy boxart

Very good fake that - wouldn't mind at all if the final work looked similar to that.
  4. RPG Maker 2000/03/Xp

Ta mate, i'll get on it.
  5. RPG Maker 2000/03/Xp

Can you suggest somewhere to start. Consider I know nothing about programming. Thanks plenty.
  6. " Nobody Likes Smug !"

    Goodfellas baby
  7. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

Resident Evil 2 remake with Resi Evil 4 controls, WiiMote in shooting mode. Oh yeah.
  8. RE Podcast - Hot Topic #2

Mario 64. A very hard choice to make, but considering it was the first proper 3D platformer ever, and it was still so perfect. It was just incredible. That feeling of being able to walk around in an open space for the first time, incredible. VERY closely followed by SMB3
  9. One Bullet

Impossible, he could just regenerate. BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  10. Wii gets BBC press attention

Was buying Elcectroplankton in game yesterday (Victoria station, London), and low and nehold there was a poster of the Wii. As ever it looked gorgeous.
  11. Animal Crossing Wii-sh List (sorry, another pun)

Well firstly I hope it utilises the extra power of the Wii. I'm not necessarily talking about the graphics here, since I like the cartoony look, but maybe the environment could be more like Hravest Moon GC. It wasn't realistic looking, but the environmens were beautiful. I also want the towns to be A LOT bigger. The whole idea of Animal Crossing is being out on your own, and there is supposed to be this daunting feeling of responsibility, which is corrupted by the fact you can walk the map in a minute or so. Try and think OoT size. Now I know some of you will think this is too much, but here is why it would work: 1. More things to explore - more secrets and stuff like that 2. More shops - you could go to a nearby town to find new items and possibly cheaper prices 3. More animals - you could meet new friends, and then if they live in towns that are pretty far off, you could mail them. 4. More tasks - take the basic delivery favour. Now you add in a bit of orienteering. 5. Fishing/bug capturing - only appearing in certain parts The advantage of all this is that there is always something more to explore - it never gets boring. And plus, because you can just stay in your own little town, it doesn't change the original game. The ability to move house would be pretty cool. Especially if you've got a bigger map. And more ability to customise your map, like the bridge thing in the GC game. Maybe you could design a new post office and decide where it goes? Customisable clothes/house with the WiiMote as a brush/tool is a given. A link with the Virtual console. So like with the GC version where you could get NES games, now you can collect anything on the virtual console. (But still ony for birthdays and such, gotta think of the money). Maybe have a range of camera options as well, so we can put it behing the character. Oh and a camera like it shenmue.
  12. One Bullet

Fierce understands, its only a bit of fun. Come on, you can't say you wouldn't want to give Osama a pop in the leg?
  13. Well I think OoT is the best game, but by no means do the other ones suck. In fact OoT only marginally edges out Wind Waker.
  14. Shenmue

    Yeah mine did.
  15. Hi all, Im new here

Welcome, though can I ask why your posts were deleted from the other forums?
  16. That is the dumest thing anything has said around here in a while. One guy expresses his opinion, as he's allowed to do, and suddenly you want to remove a key selling point of Smash Bros Brawl. Yeah nice thinking. And Nintendo don't owe Kojima anything, they're putting snake in for the consumer. EDIT - yeah sorry gorrit I think you misunderstood me. The reason I said they aren't making a super powered console with innovative control is because of the price. I agree I wouldn't buy something for such a high price, which is why suggesting making one is such a stupid comment. As for the programming thing, I was just going on the idea of merging a PS3 and Wii. The PS3 is apparently hard to programme for, and reports say that calibrating the Wii controller can also be tricky. Just what i've heard.
  17. You know what, I like Kojima, and think he is a god of a games designer, but saying that a PS3 with Wii controls is the dummest thing i've ever heard. Hell, everyone would like that, in fact it would be near aboout the greatest console of all time (for the consumer, programming would be a b***h). But he's forgetting a little thing called money. The reason Nintendo haven't made a powerhouse system is because of the cost. It's almost like he's saying Nintendo chose a lower powered system for preference, not cost. Oh and I agree with Hellfire. Not necessarily if the Wii fails, but if the idea of inovation fails, then the game market will crash, because of what I like to call the "E.T. formula". I don't think I need to explain. It just happens to be that Nintendo are the ones innovating.
  18. Disagree with you there for two reasons: 1. It can teach you to cook without wasting money on food 2. Just because it's based on a real life activity doesn't mean it won't be fun. I'm sure surgery isn't that much of a blast but trauma centre is a great game. And if it's fun, why not make a game of it?
  19. Favourite dungeon would be the water temple. Frustrating, I know, but it was just so rewarding, and that scene afterwards with Sheik was just pure magic. Best boss, Ganondorfend of OoT, hands down. Just too epic.
  20. Games that make you angry.

Fire Emblem, Trauma centre, Ninja Gaiden, Viewtiful Joe and F-Zero GX are the main ones. I'm sure anyone who has played these games will have similar feelings aboout them.
  21. 3 games I want to see on the Wii

    Lightsaber game That is all
  22. I might make up some news. I've always wanted to make up some juicy rumour just to see how stupid some people are. Maybe something along the lines of Links dies or Ganon finally wins.
  23. United 93

I'm not decided either way on the whole conspiracy thing. I saw loose change a while back, and although at some points I thought it was a load of crap, there's some stuff in there you can't deny is a little wierd. Now most of the stuff I questioned was confirmed to be crap in that popular mechanics thing (except the whole plane remains question, in which they just had a guy saying "yeah I saw it") but didn't touch on the blackboxes or phones, which were two major incidents for me. And for those thinking that a government couldn't commit such a horrific act, pick up a history book. Those in power have been commiting crimes against nature since human beings first began constructing towns, and just because we live in modern times doesn't make it any different. Again i'm not saying it definitley was a conspiracy, just keep an open mind.
  24. Eternal Sonata

I can't understand why Japanese developers are still making games for the 360. The thing has flopped in Japan (practically) which is where most Japanese games (like this) are targeted. I'm not complaining, it means I won't have to buy a PS3 for it, but i'm just saying it baffles me.
  25. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

Thought it was about time for another post. I'm not comfortable with Fisher or Jade, nice characters, and I think Jade might even work well, but they haven't got that legendry status required to be in this game of games. Now Prince, because of his 20 or so years in games has they status, but he doesn't work as a character. Rayman is a perfect fit I reckon, put him in. As for pokemon, I reckon there should be one selectable character, but it includes many Pokemon. Everytime you start a game, respawn or press down B you are given a new Pokemon, which is randomly picked. They'd be slighty weaker than most characters to balance. Their super move should be retreating into their Pokeball, and coming out as one of the legendrys, and proceed to kick ass.
