I'm not a huge fan of Rover 400s. My friend had one and it was quite a lot of trouble. Might just be his car though, my Dad has a bigger Rover and it's great. Don't really know much about them though so I can't give a decent opinion on them.

Polos are usually a safe bet. Cheap to run/insure and generally reliable. That said, mine is currently broken.

If I knew someone with a Mac, I'd test my tablet on it to get some conclusive evidence. But alas, I know no one with a Mac.

And I've thrown the packaging/manual away too, so I can't consult that either.

It definitely looks like it's been in some sort of accident, possibly a bigish one. The fact that they've changed the bonnet and bumper means that it's definitely had some damage there. I think automatic gearboxes don't take too well to sudden changes in speeds (like stopping dead/being forced backwards when in a forward gear etc.), so an accident would explain why the gearbox needs work (although I still have no idea what work it needs).

It's cool, I like to think of it as a taster for what will happen next time.

Show season is pretty much over now (completely over for Santa Pod), so there won't be any shows until next year. But it shall be an epic year of shows visited by the NE homeslices.

Pretty much the standard trifle afair. The only things I do a bit different is use swiss roll instead of sponge fingers in the bottom and lime jelly. It makes for an awesome trifle-o-justice. It's like licking the back of Gods hand.

Although I'm not sure how well it would travel from my house to the campsite. I could bring a BBQ instead and we could get some meat for the second night camping if you want? I'm thinking full on corinary burger. About the height of a car. A big car.

Shows normally start at 11 ish, but I'm going to be working until about 1ish. I reckon meeting there at 3 would be a good idea. That should give me time to meet with some friends, drive to Happenstances and pick him up and get there.

Most of the entertainment is late afternoon/evening anyway.

Plus my lovely colleague has booked half term off (which is the only time we can really book holidays), which means it's pretty much up to me to supervise them. Responsibility sucks.

And good job on Comedy Rainbow. I could totally see that shit making it onto TV. Not on a classy channel like Channel 5, but on one of those ones no one has ever heard of, but has a cult following.

The 5D is a full frame camera, meaning it has a bigger sensor (than the 60D), which is better for low light photography. I'm looking at becoming a wedding photographer, so I need to be able to cope with dark churches, where you can't use flash. I basically need a camera with the best sensor for low light.

Also, the 5D has good noise reduction on the higher ISOs, which will also help with darker settings. Don't know about the 60D though. Some comparison shots on DPReview seem to show that the 5D is a little bit better at high ISOs.

It's also made of better material, so it'll take a few knocks when I'm urbexing. Although admittedly, I probably won't take £1700 worth of camera into a derelict building!

The problem is, I really don't want to ask the new manager for the day off since he seems very odd and would probably frown upon me even asking so soon. He really is odd. I kind of want to make a good impression, since it's the first job that I actually care about.

I assumed you would go in your friends car rather than mine. I'm happy to travel on my own, I kind of prefer it. It allows me to crank the rad tunes buh-dy and not feel totally embarrassed when Barbie Girl comes on. Not that it ever does....no...never....

I have the sat nav anyway, so you don't have to worry about me getting lost or anything.

To be honest, I don't care about phones that much. It's just that mine is knackered (the screen doesn't work any more) and I could do with a replacement pronto. If I don't get one tomorrow, meeting you will be a bit of a nightmare.

All we need for a BBQ is charcoal. Could even get one of those disposable trays and just prop it up on something. Depends if the campsite allows BBQs or not. Some don't.
