..Excitebike with a control scheme similar to the one I explained earlier in the thread? ..if so, I do not feel that it would show how to do racing games on the Wii as, obviously, it would seem silly to control a car in something like Burnout using those controls.. ..sorry if I'm not making much sense or misinterpreting anything or being non-sensical..

..I can't see it being 1080, Excitebike or Wave Race.. Reggie (I think) mentioned that it would show how to do racing games on the Wii (a name which really isn't bothering me) in which case I think it is more likely that it will involve cars as probably the majority of racing games revolve around cars as opposed to jet-skis or scramblers and maybe Nintendo want to try to give developers an insight how to use the controller for these types of games so that the Wii will not have a dearth of this genre.. long sentence..

..I agree with you.. and all the people that say that realistic racers like Gran Turismo aren't fun to play.. this is Nintendo.. if anyone can put the fun into a game, it's them.. probably.. ..I quite enjoyed R:Racing from Namco.. would maybe be cool if they collaborated on a realistic racing game together.. just an idea..

..I was gonna mention 1080.. but then I wasn't sure if you would classify that as a racing game (even though that is what the majority of the 1080 games, which I love, are about) ..1080, F-Zero, MarioKart, Wave Race.. any of those or a new, more realistic racer with real cars and I would be happy with that.. or even something like Top Gear Rally..

..only F-Zero GX was made by Sega (well.. Amusement Vision) ..it is a Nintendo franchise..

..I'll be honest, I haven't read every single post in this topic.. but my idea wasn't necessarily this racing game Reggie is talking about.. it was merely some ideas I was throwing about for a potential Excitebike game which I would love to be made for the Wii because I loved the N64 version.. and I genuinely do feel that the rough control scheme I quickly drew up on paint could lend itself very well to a game like Excitebike.. noone has to like the idea, noone is saying this is how it should be played.. it's an idea.. and surely this is what the FHC is bringing to gaming.. people are using their imaginations to come up with idea's they feel would be good for the controller.. there are many possibilities.. ..sorry if you think I am having a go at you personally, that was not my intention.. ..and someone mentioned something about the 'fact' the the FHC wasn't designed for use with 2 hands.. my control scheme only required one hand on the FHC.. and with the ability to play NES games with the FHC, I'd be interested to watch anyone do that with one hand :P

I forgot to mention that the B-Trigger could act as the brake.. and maybe A as Turbo.. obviously I'm only throwing out ideas here.. but I modified the pic quickly (the X is just showing a sort of pivoting area for what I'm about to mention now), wondering how the controller could handle powersliding.. and then I thought about how tilting it up at one end would be like simulating how the bike would lean over into the corners.. tilt too far and you fall.. ..just looking for some opinions.. try it out with a remote you have and see what you think..

..I think it was another forum I posted this on a few weeks ago but I figured a new excitebike game would work really well with using the FHC much like you would use the (right) handlebar on a motorbike/scrambler etc.. ..I drew a quick picture on paint to help illustrate what I mean.. ..is anyone else able to understand what I'm getting at here.. or think it's a good/bad idea? ..I doubt if Reggie was talking about Excitebike.. but I loved the N64 version and thought the new controller would work really well on a sequel..

..I find it a bit ridiculous that everyone is complaining about all this when absolutely nothing has been seen with respect to games or graphics.. just be patient.. I wanna see the revolution in action as much as the next person but I'm prepared to wait to E3 and be hit with everything.. i reckon it will be exciting..

..yeh.. I got one (not a great one.. but does the job) for £4.99.. only works with the gamecube.. but I used the one I got with my gamecube on the n64..
