  1. What was you first EVER game?

Super Soccer LOVE this game.. using the manual keepers.. listening to each countries unique tune playing in the background of each match.. the little baldy referee walking out of nowhere to brandish a card.. the penalty shoot-outs were great
  2. Your favorite "Bad" game?

ISS 2 (Was the game I got with the Gamecube for my birthday in May 2002, and although it feels crap to begin with, persist and get a feel for it and it can be enjoyable!) V-Rally 99 Edition (I've heard many people voice the fact they thought this game was terrible. I got this one Christmas along with Goldeneye 007 and it remains my favourite rally game to this day ..memories are a wonderful thing!)
  3. Wario Ware

It can be annoying when people decide they don;t want to play the game anymore after a couple of minutes because they don't know what's going on.. thankfully my girlfriend is starting to figure out each of the games so I'm able to play with her now.. ..she's so great
  4. Football Season 2006/2007

..5-0 defeat to FSV Mainz 05.. Come on you reds Any opinions from Liverpool fans on the forum here? It doesn't really worry me, we're still gonna do the business this season.. :horse: << (The Horse is Jose Mourinho.. I'm not bitter about his recent comments )
  5. Official Neighbours Topic

Watched it properly for the first time in months today, and it's still as great as ever! (Clearly)
  6. Donkey Freaking Konga!

I never had anyone to play it with either. Noone really wants to play my gamecube with me (apart from my girlfriend) and as for Konga, I only have the one set of bongo's, so multiplayer wouldn't work so well...
  7. Donkey Freaking Konga!

I got Donkey Konga new last year for £9.99 and it's the sort of game, for me, that I maybe don't play for all that long at a time but will come back to it every few months. Haven't played the second however, and would be more inclined to go for Jungle Beat's platforming goodness than a new bunch of Konga tunes.

  9. Rate the last film you saw

The Break Up Went to see this with my girlfriend on Friday night and quite enjoyed it (always found Vince Vaughan very funny ) but there didn't really seem to be much of an end to it. 6.5/10
  10. What are YOU getting at launch?

..few sandwiches.. glass of coke.. ..oh.. launch.. .......um.. haven't really decided, not even sure I will be able to get a Wii when it comes out as I may have to wait a couple of months to obtain sufficient funds.. but Zelda and Red Steel are candidates and I would love to download a few classics on the Virtual Console..
  11. Girls!

..coming up to a year with my girlfriend next month.. wondering what I could do special for it but I'm not very good with that sorta stuff and I'm not a terribly decisive person.. Anyone any Ideas? I'm 19, Catherine's 17, neither of us drink. For our 6 months it was dinner in an OK-ish place. But I'm a poor student (boo-hoo) but she deserves something really special.. so any thoughts or ideas are welcome Plus it's her 18th in September.. busy few months for me
  12. THE FINAL: ITALY vs FRANCE

"There's more hair on your nipple than your head"
  13. Suggestiones por favor

Not a shooter but Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance provides a decent Cooperative mode.
  14. My recent Gamecube purchases

The game had been sitting on the shelf for months and months with noone interested in the GC section it seems as the same games were there every time I went in. So as soon as I noticed the price drop I said 'yes please'! Even my girlfriend will testify that I had been going on about Killer7 for ages before I was able to get it and how delighted I was to finally be able to try it out.. and I love it! So much so that sometimes I randomly come out with 'Ahhh.. Garcian' to my girlfriend, or 'I'm a cleaner'. Thank goodness the relationship is so strong And I'm actually on the second disc now. The game is really great!
  15. My recent Gamecube purchases

Recently bought Killer7 new from GAME for a Pre-owned price (confused?) of £12.97. I was told the GC is pretty much dead and that new games were being reduced to pre-owned prices. Killer7 rocks! Brilliant game!
  16. Your first Virtual Console download?

There's so many I want and I can't decide what to download first. Super Mario Allstars, Wave Race 64, F-Zero X, Paper Mario, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe..
  17. Somehow I lost the sensor box thing that sat above the TV so I haven't been able to play with the Scope in years, though I have wanted to so many times! I loved Mole Patrol . In fact I thought most of the games on the Super Scope 6 game were really fun, especially the one with the rockets flying across the screen where occasionally Bowser would chase Mario across the screen and you'd get extra points for shooting down Bowser . I miss that thing
  18. Autographs you have

Vladimir Smicer and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer (both courtesy of my cousins that live in England) A couple of players anyone who happens to watch the second half of European Cup Finals will be familiar with .
  19. Why are there so many launch titles anyway?

My first Gamecube game was also ISS2 (though I did actually rather enjoy that, despite having nowhere near the finesse of Pro Evolution Soccer) My first N64 game was Fifa 64 (thought it was ok for the time but I know better now!) My first SNES game (the first game I ever played) was Super Soccer (STILL love it) Am I finally going to have to get something other than a football game at launch for the Wii? Or will my hopes come true that Konami surprise us (really big massive crazy surprise) with Pro Evolution Soccer so that I can get that first!
  20. Why are there so many launch titles anyway?

The variety is obviously good for the consumer, not everyone will want Metroid or Zelda on launch. I can see your point and I understand that everyone is different. I'm not sure where I stand on that front. I have a lot of gamecube games and a lot of N64 games and while I do sometimes find myself wanting something new, there are many games that maybe I do not get the full value out of, and many that are nowhere near completion. In the days of the SNES, when obviously I was a lot younger (I'm 19 now), my brother and I didn't get to play games so much and did not have money to be buying games every other week. Instead, in the five years before the Nintendo 64 came out, we bought, on average, one game per year and were able to get the most out of each game. I was able to the odd game off my best friend at primary school, but all in all I was satisfied with the amount of games I got to play. Nowadays, I wouldn't limit myself to one game a year as I 'need' more than that, but I feel that I may try to restrict myself to buying essential games that I can play to the full as opposed to buying those as well as games that are good but I could do without. And as for new releases coming out, the majority of my games are preowned and I have not paid full price for a game in a very long time as I find it too expensive, so i have to wait further anyway in that respect. However, I feel that this gives me the chance to go through my collection and play through games (both on N64 and GC) that maybe I haven't fully explored or finished. Why do I keep rambling on lately.. I'm so sorry!
  21. The flap development..

Why are you (indirectly) having a go at me Jamba? I was just trying to point out the actual (probable) reason why the Wii is sloped up (when it is in its stand). I know it is not because there is a camera in there, as indeed it can be laid horizontal aswell. I think you misinterpreted my post and I apologize if it was too confusing and making you think I'm an idiot.
  22. New Wii titles anounced?

I'm interested to see what control scheme different companies will adopt for their racing games. We have all seen how Excite Truck will control, and I'm sure many other racing games will be like this or something similar. Sorry if this is off topic, but maybe some of you will remember the control method I suggested for something like Excitebike (or maybe even Wave Race) but for some reason, Road Rash has just come into my head and I was thinking how maybe the bike could be controlled (as 'normal') with the Analogue Stick while instead of pressing a button to knock your opponents off their bikes, you swipe at them with the motion sensors in the Wiimote and Nunchuck (depending on what side they are on) Again, apologies about the location of this post and it's irellevance to this topic. In relation to those game announcements though, I'm really glad to see Prince of Persia there and another racing game (GT) seemingly at launch. I am always a little concerned of there being a bit of a dearth of racing games on Nintendo Consoles that appeal to the masses since the N64 era, although with F-Zero, Wave Race, 1080, Mario Kart and V-Rally I have been more than satisfied.
  23. The flap development..

Sorry if this has been mentioned (or not deemed relevent, it isn't exactly a major point ) but didn't someone say earlier in the thread that maybe they thought the Wii was sloped up a little when stood upright because there could be a camera in there? Is it not just sloped up so that when the discs are ejected they dont fall out..?
  24. Game disc errors / disc damaged e.t.c.

The only problems I have had with my Gamecube is that it has frozen a few times (and only a few times, it's not a major problem), and about twice it has came up on screen telling me there is a problem and I should consult the Consumer Informations and Precautions Booklet. It worked after restarting on both ocassions though.
