Has anyone who preordered a console from Shopto ever received it a couple of days before the launch day?

Yeah, its very easy to be skeptical - for me Skyward Sword was an all time low for the series, the only Zelda I could not be bothered to complete. But the world in BOTW is looking as its recapturing the vigour of Wind Waker in the sense of having a large world to traverse - something sorely missing from SS and less functional in TP. I just hope the storyline is not too lazy, as in the age old Ganondorf breaking free from imprisonment and being the final boss. Infact, I've always wanted to see Ganondorf star as a sort of anti-hero, similar to a character like Vegeta. Or an incarnation of Ganondorf who is just.

Well all of the aforementioned characters have had a presence on Nintendo home consoles, barring Cloud. There was space to hope.

Though with Ryu, there is an exclusive Street Fighter coming to Switch...

True, but with the inclusion of Cloud in Smash, there was a glimmer of hope and suggested a closer relationship between Nintendo and SE.

Isn't the DQ series rocking that chibi Dragonball Z style? Im sure Square will be aiming for nothing but top-notch specs when it comes to FF7. Im just looking at it from a technical perspective. I doubt people in the tablet/mobile device market will be looking to a 720p £280 gaming device to meet these needs. I understand the perks of additional capabilities, but I think the nineteen devices running Netflix is the strongest point as its no longer a unique selling point to have this playback. Saying that I can easily see an update bringing these features in similarly to the BBC iPlayer channel on Wii etc.

In the same boat mate. I just want Nintendo to be true to what they have been saying with regards to releasing a constant slew of games. Its the key to success IMO: More compelling first party titles (with a greater attachment rate due to a more fulfilling online culture) = more sales = attraction to third parties as a viable source of income.

Well, no FFXV either apparently. Which makes it highly likely the FF7 Remake won't be on Switch so I'll be forced to buy a PS4 for it...

Cool. Im curious to know what has attracted you to preorder - and yes, its because most of your posts I see seem to tinge on the side of dislike or constant critique of Nintendo. Im just curious and not trying to stealth assault you!

Ashley, apologies if you are seeking to create balance - sorry if I came off harsh. @khilafah 's message came after the conversation about Switch not having a browser and other additionals. I called it a 'pure gaming machine' - his message got some praise and was related, so I responded. Not trying to have a go, trying to find clarity. But with regards to inferring, I appreciate you're the Moderator, but Im sure we're mostly adult and accustomed enough to question viewpoints without interjection. Least of all myself - I'm one of the least trollsome and balanced IMHO.

I've noticed that most of your "in fairness" /"to be fair" responses are usually used as a (mostly impartial) protective mechanism for select viewpoints... I'm sure the member can speak for himself.

Who called it a pure gaming machine over those consoles? You seem vehemently opposed to Nintendo's practices... I presume you won't be buying a Switch?

Ask yourself, will not having Netflix streaming capabilities and a browser really stop you from buying this or another gaming machine? Heck, people are preordering the Switch even while their own personal gaming prerequisites aren't being met! Well it wasn't due to not being a DVD player - possibly due to not utilising the more popular DVD discs as a medium.

Yeah, reminds me of the Gamecube - a pure gaming machine. Extra features are always good, but having another device with a browser or Netflix isn't a selling point for me - already have 4 devices in the house that does these things.

Hmm no 3DS successor in the pipeline.
