  1. I've got a feeling it would. Of course, there could be wildly different extra-terrestrials out there, such as living gas clouds etc, but I'm even more interested in how universal the known prototypes are. For instance, would aliens have eyes, mouths and legs? I'm sure some of them would. That leads me to wonder if they have creatures like ours, even humans.

Take the cat, for instance. It is basically the same creature all over the world, yet it has evolved into different species depending on the needs of the environments, and so we end up with tigers, lions, cheetahs - they are all fundamentally the same as a domestic cat, but bigger/stronger, more camouflaged when necessary. So, would we find giant cats on other planets, I wonder?

I'm particularly interested in seeing dinosaurs. Imagine if they had existed elsewhere, never to have been wiped out...

Which Stephen Hawking episode is on tonight in Denmark, Dannyboy? The aliens one?

It's interesting to note that when scientists talk of requirement for life on other planets, they mean the type of life we know from planet Earth. Maybe we'll find life forms that are not carbon-bases like us. Maybe they don't need water to survive. On the other hand, maybe life on Earth is exemplative of all life. Who knows?

It's the first episode of Stephen Hawking's Universe, so I think it's the one about aliens. Unfortunately, the following episodes are going to air on Discovery Science, which I regrettably don't have. :(

Time travel can seriously screw with your mind. Say someone goes back in time and stops a major event. The altered timeline would have to carry out in a different universe? If that's the case when you travel forward in time, the future wouldn't be any different. You'd have to go to the future of the alternate timeline to see the benefits surely? I'm guessing that's probably why it's impossible lol.

This is the true issue of practical time travel. What would happen if one were to change an event?

  2. That's the one I just mentioned, albeit not in any detail.

It's bound to have life on it, I think. I'd love to see how similar it is to ours, eg. does it have humanoids, apes, felines, canines etc? Don't suppose we'll be able to find out anytime soon.

If there is indeed life on it, it would give us our first look at how life could potentially develop elsewhere. Would it look like anything we've ever seen on Earth?

Wasn't too serious about Jonnas anyway. Someone can investigate me tonight if they want, it'll be a bit of a waste though as I'm town... though I would say that. Definitely protect Diageo too.

If Heroicjanitor turns out to be good would that mean Rez is evil or is that just circumstantial?

It could also just mean that the whole business with "Failed" PMs is more complicated than we thought, either due to chairdriver's implementation of them or some potential game mechanic.

  4. Dark Magenta, Cyan, Dark Red, Bright Green, Dark Blue, Bright Red, Rainbow and Magenta stayed at home. White visited Rainbow, Blue visited Magenta, and Green, watched over by Dark Cyan, visited Bright Green. Dark Green visited Dark Blue. And killed him.

Paj Meen Ah is dead. He was Dark Blue. He was evil.

    Day 6 begins now.

13 players remain. 7 is the majority.

  5. And...I didn't get a PM saying my power failed, but I don't think my kind of power is the one where I wouldn't get a PM if I failed, anyway.

You mean you don't think yours is the kind of power that would get a PM if it failed, right?

It still seems strange that chairdriver would send "Failed" PMs to some failed powers and not to others, I think. Heck, the "Failed" PM to me was a mistake. Maybe there are more behind this than we think.

  6. I do that now as well but there are some movies that are just plain horrible and unenjoyable...

...such as these two (maybe not Reloaded so much but definitely Revolutions. What a disappointing way to end a trilogy!)

You are dead to me! :p

  7. Hang on a minute. Night 1 chairdriver initially sent me a PM saying "Failed", but then he corrected it. This means we can assume that people who are roleblocked get a message if their power fails, no? So HJ can't have roleblocked ReZ on Night 1, 'cause then ReZ would have known his power failed.

    What's up with that, HJ?

    DOUBLEPOST

So what if we fill up the page, are you trying to run away? I'm just going to say that you are looking very suspicious HeroicJanitor.

Also I noticed that Dannyboy said that ReZ targeted Jonnas also. Meaning two townie roleblockers targeted Jonnas. No wonder Jonnas has no info.

Did you get a PM saying your night action failed? This would clear up a few things.

Wait, how do you know if ReZ is a roleblocker?

  8. Toy Story is their least impressive film to me (except of course Cars).

Well, I don't agree with that, but each to his own.

Perhaps not dissapointed, but somewhat underwhelmed.

I don't think any of there subsequent films have matched the brilliance of the Toy Story series.

I also heavily disagree with that, but yeah, each to his own. I personally think the concepts of for instance The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc. and Ratatouille were absolutely brilliant. Not only that, but the humour and messages in those films are great as well.

  9. Well... there was a train going against ReZourceman, but Peeps said nothing about that. Actually, he laid really low.

And...I don't think anything unusual happened to me. Then again, if I was roleblocked, I wouldn't know the difference.

    Vote: The Peeps

Because a flimsy lead is a lead nonetheless.

Wait, what? There was no train going on, it was all just shenanigans. You're suggesting that he should have put himself in the mafia's targetting reticle because of a joke? That doesn't even qualify as a flimsy lead, man.

  10. While I never quite understood the dislike for the Matrix sequels, and while I was surprised to realize that films like Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3 also disappointed many people, I have accepted that this is the case ...

and most Pixar films that aren't Toy Story

... This, however, I refuse to understand. Maybe with the exception of Cars, I don't get how anyone can be disappointed in anything Pixar has ever made.

  11. I agree about the amazing "confused look" they can pull. I quite like that. :) Though I once watched an episode of Verminators that featured a house with a colony of pigeons, and everything was covered in disease-ridden and literally deadly pigeon poo. It was disgusting and gave me a newfound wariness of pigeons.
