  1. I was pretty proud when I finally managed to get all 120 gold cards in bomberman 64 (I liked that game).
  2. I actually like both 7 and 8 (obsessed with 7, 8 the second-best ff), although I'm less of a fan of 9 and 12. I did enjoy 9, but I didn't really like the throwback to the medieval setting (preferred the futuristic style myself).
  3. I played (a translation of) the original NES version... It was quite good.
  4. Link's awakening: my first and still my favourite zelda game. I could tell you how to move the walrus, but i'm still new on this forum and I can't get these spoiler tags to work.
  5. Final Fantasy VII for me. One important reason for my choice would probably be that it was my first big RPG and it really made a huge impression on me (still pretty much obsessed with it 8 years after i first played it). One of the things I particularly liked about it was how it took about 10 hours before you first got to see the overworld. The game took its time introducing the various important characters and to set the stage for what was to come. When you finally started thinking Midgar was where the whole game would take place, you suddenly arrived on the overworld. The game felt none less than epic and had a great story and (in my opinion) the best cast of any RPG I have thus far played. And then there was of course the intro movie. It was representative of the epicness that would characterize the rest of the game.
  6. Ok, I'm convinced. I'm first going to finish zelda:TP (which I consider to be an adventure, not an RPG, so it was alright for me to play it) and after that I'll start with skies. At the eighth dungeon right now, which actually took me around 88 hours. I want to get at least 100 hours out of the game, which shouldn't take much more than a week or two.
  7. Despite the fact that many people here seem to have trouble finding this game, I have somehow managed to grab a copy but have committed the crime of not playing it yet. How did it get this far? Many years ago, a port of skies was announced for the PS2. Given the fact that I'm a huge RPG fan and anything from the dreamcast simply *had* to be awesome, I couldn't wait to get this game. Hence, I was majorly pissed off when the port was finally cancelled. Enter last year, when I found out there actually *had* been a port of skies, but only for the Cube. Since I wanted to buy a wii, and I was still pissed of about not having been able to play it on PS2 all those years ago, I got this game (a brand new copy) when I actually saw it lying in a store. The situation has changed, however, from the one all those years ago. For years I've pretty much been playing nothing else but RPG's, and since I finished FF7 (my first big RPG and which I still consider to be the greatest game of all time) for the second time about five months ago, I decided to take it a little easy for a while. I've been pretty much fasting since then when it comes to RPG's, waiting for that one gem to arrive that will be able to impress me again as FF7 once did. So here I have skies lying around in my room, and my question would now be: is this game worth it to break the fasting? (sorry for the long post, and yes, this is my first post on this forum)
