having seen up to the midseason cliffhanger of season 3, I think the problem is that there are runs of brilliant episodes, interspersed by fillers which don't lead to anything and drag the show down. I wish they actually did shorter seasons of 10-12 eps so everything would advance the main story arc, with no need for fillers...

yeah, I was a bit disappointed when I first visited the future world in ocarina and saw how minor the changes were, but it would've been to much to create a radically different world back then. Guess I was spoiled by a link to the past...

would anyone agree that this is one of the most overlooked games of the last generation? The mummy levels in particular were great. It's a pity it did so poorly, despite positive reviews, as I'm sure the sequel would have focused more on the mummy levels...

I think its an example of "less is more"; because of the limitations imposed by teletext- no pics and limited word count- they have to put everything succinctly and to the point. Also they don't seem too close to developers, something I've always felt with IGN for example (also think IGNs reviews are terribly written- really poor standard of english)

I think they're the best reviewers out there, anyone agree?

GX is one of my favourite games, but I agree the attack option didn't really work- I think its because the analogue shoulder buttons couldn't be tapped twice in the same way as the N64 ones, so they had to map it to the X button The wii version should be controlled with just the remote, I think they should be able to make it work well, after all the remote is very sensitive. The attacks could be done with a quick flick in the direction of your opponent. Using the nunchuck adds unnecessary complexity, and I think the classic controller is a non-starter, I don't think they'll use it for any games, even smash bros, as it adds to consumer confusion...

do german versions of gc games have an english language option?
urso replied to urso's topic in General Gaming Discussion
oh well, I just bought the american version from ebay, got it cheap as it had a damaged box. But at least anyone looking for TP now has a chance to get it from amazon.de -
official one it is then, thanks

been looking for memory cards on ebay and was just wondering if 3rd party ones are generally reliable or are there brands I should avoid?

I managed to order the american version from ebay- the box was damaged, so it was cheap- I think the seller has more copies- make sure you have freeloader though...

thanks for the replies- however, I asked a seller on ebay and they said its definitely german text only, so its not worth the risk, I think -
I tried ordering it from play3k before xmas; it says more stock expected soon, but everywhere else says sold out... are Nintendo going to ship more stock or is that it?
-
thanks- so basically so long as you are pointing the remote at the sensor bar, you can place it away from the tv, you just have to specify above or below, right?
-
I posted this in support a while back, but it got lost in the rush of questions, would really appreciate some advice: I play my games on a portable tv in my bedroom and the remote in my hands would be within 3 feet of it. Can I place the sensor bar behind and above the tv to make it more than 3 feet away so long as the remote can see it? Or does it have to be exactly on top of the tv?
