I'm just a happy amateur I had an extra light source and a reflector, but sadly they're not as good as a proper flash on the other side...I built a softbox today to eliminate the spread of light (have been a big problem). I've not nailed the lighting yet, since I have no metering as of yet (doing it all by eye and experimentation). I've got a zoto.com account which I've been adding some old photos, and adding new along the way (seems to be down for updates atm). http://particleman.zoto.com/galleries

I think this comes down to monitor calibration. I haven't done a proper print to see if it's alright or not

I wasn't mainly aiming at photographs. Try painting in Photoshop, paint whatever and post at the theme "eyes"

My reply wasn't aimed at you, but I realise now afterwards that it can be interpreted wrongly, and for that I must apologise to you for not being clear enough. You weren't one of the two earlier posters (no names mentioned :P) that seemingly thinks being offensive is a lifestyle. I think the creativity board needs more activity, so that's why I thought of having some sort of weekly/monthly theme where everyone gets to create something from a given theme. Sadly, I do not have those striking green eyes naturally (they are a kind of blue and green, as they are in the second picture, which was only upped on the saturation and a better colour balance).

Decided to rework the image a bit, since there was some annoyances in it.

What really annoys me? Arrogant people who think their art is better than others. Not to mention people with knowledge but unwilling to help others starting out on a new profession/art form.
